Maple Story: 2D side-scrolling MMORPG is DS-bound

  Who says DS can't handle an MMORPG? South Korean publisher Nexon has finally confirmed its bringing a version of Maple Story to Nintendo's handheld.
  
  South Korean games publisher Nexon announced today that they will be bringing their popular PC title, Maple Story, to the DS. Rumors of the game being ported to the handheld have been floating around since last May when David Lee, CEO of NexonÂ’s Japanese arm, revealed their plans to start developing games with Nintendo.
  
  For the uninitiated, Maple Story is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) with a twist–it’s presented as a 2D side-scroller with chibi-anime styled characters. While playing the PC version is free, there is a heavy emphasis on purchasing clothing, pets, and other optional items through their online “Cash Shop” with real money.
  
  Maple Story will debut on DS this September. Nexon has yet announce plans to release the game outside of South Korea.

  i assume its not going to be mmorpg cos not online? if so then there are tonnes of single player rpg that are better than maple

  it is mmorpg. it is online. and ds has wifi.

  but since the full maple version has this many bugs, i bet anything the DS version has more

  have u ever wondered if the DS has enough buttons for all the skills and stuff? they can't ask maplers to use combined keystrokes like B + A for teleport. that will be zzzing
