whoa sounds like good fun! reminds me of that david tao concert i enjoyed alot heehee.
personally i like it when, during a concert, a singer sings songs other than his own, cos that's what makes a concert worthwhile!Originally posted by the Bear:here's my review of the concert:
here's a short review of the concert...
the opening act, P.O. or B.O. or whatever.. the Korean band.. ROCKS!!
they were good!! however, the crowd were so star-struck by Linkin Park, they didn't realise how good that band was... sad..
then the ungodly wait for Linkin Park after the opening band finished their set.. they played great songs, Alice in Chains, ACDC, stuff like that
here's the sad bit.. in order to work the crowd up, they had to play music from another band... a GREAT band... Jane's Addiction...
the engineers or crew or whatever, played 3 Days by Jane's Addiction and used the bridge of the song to get Linkin Park in... it was sad yet a masterstroke as the song did have a dramatic bridge...
Linkin Park went through their hits and saved their best known for last...
ironically, the best song they played was NOT their own!
they played Nine Inch Nails' WISH... man, they were GOOD with that song.. or maybe it was the material?? Trent Reznor did write songs you could NOT ignore...
they ended with One Step Closer after playing Wish...
pretty enjoyable show... except for the little kiddies who were complaining left and right about "why so long, why so hot?" and booing the opening act...
again, strange thing is that they had to use another band's material to come in to... and their best song was another band's....
oh well.. it is Linkin Park

it really sounds like a concert one wouldn't mind paying to attend again and again..
Originally posted by the Bear:haha yeah! Not too familiar with the material played aside from the AC/DC & Jane's Addiction stuff but i still had a massive blast rocking the night away! And sigh .... why didn't or why don't AC/DC come rock SG?
well, i guess they didn't have that much material themselves as i think they have 2 albums out or something like that...
but again, i'm thinking: Nine Inch Nails' Wish.. play it hard, loud, fast and full of rage, you have it down pat...
in other news, my throat's wrecked...
p.s. it's not a nice, sit-down concert.. it's a scream-along jump with the crowd, manic, sweaty, hot, humid concert..
