SINGAPORE : William Hung of American Idol fame is on his way for a one-night concert in Singapore.
In a phone interview from Los Angeles, he tells Singapore media that he is happy with where he is now and no matter what happens, he has no regrets.
"She Bangs" is the song that launched Hung's career.
And so busy is he now with endorsements, performances, his second album and even a movie role, that the earliest he can come to Singapore is September.
But what will he sing here?
Yes, that infamous voice and moves for "She Bangs" will definitely be one song that Hung will perform during his one-night only performance in Singapore.
Hung will perform in a two-hour plus show with local comedians like Kumar, Hossan Leong and Irene Ang, where parts of the proceeds will go to charity.
Tickets are priced between $48 and $98.
Organisers would only say that he will get a "considerable ang pow" for his efforts.
Meanwhile, in August, a different type of "live" concert takes centrestage where the main performer is no longer alive.
With a little help from technology, Elvis "The King" Presley will come to life exactly 27 years after his death.
Real concert footage of Elvis will be projected onto life size screens, while his former band members and back-up singers will perform "live".
Elvis will then sing, talk and interact with cast members to replicate the feel of a concert in the 60s and 70s. - CNA
