Can wedding ang bao cover the costs of wedding tables

let say you hold your wedding at a 5 star hotel and costs 16k, will the ang bao cover the costs of the wedding tables?

Depends on the money in the ang bao la. depends on the turn up of your guests.
The recent one I went to I know that the host lost money. Saw many empty seats. That was in a 5 star hotel.

Hell no. Dont even think. One person at least has to give 50 dollars or more to cover the basic expense if you hold your wedding in a decent hotel. Relatives maybe yes packet more, friends and the rest...... no...

50 bucks is way too low for the host to cover cost. Nowadays the table at 5 star hotels are near to $1000 or $1000 and above. -
depends on date, and who u invite
whether u have kiam relatives, kiam fwensand whether u know how to nego with the hotel for best deal or not
alotta $$ can be saved -
even if cannot cover the costs entirely, but can use the ang bao to pay and the most is a few thousand dollars from your own pocket.

Weekday or weekend? Weekday for a 5 star hotel can be pretty reasonable. And also, if the table is fully empty, it can be closed, so no charge on that. Rarely got more than 5 tables empty one.
A friend of mine held is wedding on the night of the first singapore night GP, lost 7 tables. That one really 5 star hotel.
