MLM observations

Heard from some of my friends that they were conned into listening the MLM plans by their friends.Usually what happen is that this XXX friend of theirs whom they have not met for sometime call them out for an old time gathering. When they meet, XXX will talk to them for a while before telling them he know of this great biz opportunity and is working with this YYY guy whois very 'powerful'. Then XXX will say he is meeting YYY later and ask my friends to accompany them to meet YYY. So when they meet YYY, YYY explains the compensation plan and the company they are in for at least 1-2 hrs .Then after which all my friends go home feeling more 'ANTI-MLM' and angry.
Therefore for the current MLMers, wat do you think is the correct attitude and ways to do things in MLMs. Should we holdback information when inviting prospects or openly tell them certain things..Should we share information and experiences like how to recruit with people not in your group, even if they are from a different company?
Different people have different styles so hope we hear different views. Some dun think we should help other people from other companies as it will indirectly result in themselves losing possible prospects but some really will help.
MLMs is about sharing, so hope we can help each other, because 'only when you are earning money, then I can earn money out of you'. This is something I heard from a traditional businessman which I think is very true in MLM. -

hahahah....I earn more than 99% of all MLMers..... and i only have PSLE qualifications...

Greetings people,
I guess none of us want to capitalize / or be capitalized our relationships with our loved ones, friends and relatives.
Naturally, when we are approached by our closed ones with the MLM concept, we don't feel comfortable because we seem to have the obligations to agree and accept their offer.
Most importantly, I believe in making firm decisions and follow your instincts. If you know that your friends are beginning to stay away from you because you reject their offers, it's time for you to relook into the relationships. Platonic relationship or just mutual friendship?
Although I am doing MLM myself, I don't coerce people to be my downline, therefore I fail terribly in this line. haha.

All those troubles created by MLM. -
the concept of network marketing is morally wrong... and of course i have my reasons for saying so
firstly, network marketing is too much of a "friendship-based" kind of thing... getting your friend to join under you and the latter pulling his friends in and so on and so forth...the cycle is endless and infinite. This itself undermines the concept of a genuine friendship, as your friends have become no more than money making tools to you. From a network marketeer's perspective, as they are called ( to me, its just another classy term for a salesperson), they are merely trying to help their friends make "easy money", thus enabling them to get out of the so-called rat race. While it is easy to bring in these set of good intentions to cover up their hidden agendas, i think it is impossible for these people to deny that they have never harboured thoughts of using their friends as money-spinning machines or as stepping stones to climb to the next rung of the marketing ladder.
contrary to the popular belief held by so many network marketeers, the belief that network marketing empowers one to gain a mastery over his finances, many actually find themselves fast becoming slaves to money. The problem is that these people are so blinded by greed and wealth, they fail to realise that they have neglected their families and friends - their relentless pursuit of wealth being fuelled by the incessant brainwashing that many mlms resort to. A perfect life example would be my aunt, whose stint with a network marketing company has not left us unscathed. It's been a long time, ever since she joined that company (which i reserve the right not to name), that she has come home before 10pm, often leaving the house at 9 am in the morning. Now, she hardly talks to family members and even when she does, it is in a rather business like manner, asking for referrals.
a world dominated by network marketing would surely see many more parents left "childless", figuratively speaking... many virtual orphans surfacing... and many long-time friendships broken... surely i believe that many of us would not like to see that happening?
To sum it all up, network marketing is an insidious virus that has infected the local business scene, hell bent on shaking loose the foundations of friendships and family ties. For those out there who are considering joining the trade... think about it: Am i prepared to sacrifice many friendships and time with my family for the sake of momentary financial gain? will i be doing my friends a wrong by making money out of their families and friends? If this is not enough to hurt your conscience, then you have my blessings. -
if this is what you think, i can only say one thing... you dont even know whats the hell is network marketing.

of course you sure have real life examples. these are the people that failed in network marketing and give the wrong impression and education to the masses like you.

as i see it... alot of people at the top of the ladder in this business are examples of what i posted in my message. they come home late at night... money is the only thing on their mouths and their minds. they have sacrificed quite a number of their friendships. what you said only serves to reinforce the point which i made -

mlm is a powerful business model. in fact, it's so good that companies trying to sell useless products are using mlm to con people to buy their shiit. sometimes it works and sometimes not. but if that company can't make it even by using mlm, can forget about using traditional business liao

you said we have to learn from e best... but e best are exactly e ones who enforce e idea that network marketing is a morally wrong concept. cos they are unethical and e ones prepared to capitalize on friendships just to go far in this line. And i'm saying this based on my past observation with an mlm company and what many friends who have past experiences have previously told me.
you know its virtually impossible to argue with network marketeers. why? cos they are subjected to so much brainwashing that they do not know how to think for themselves anymore. All their viewpoints are centred around their lofty aspirations and ideals, drilled into them by e big guys in e company, rather than logic and proven facts. i bet e way you argued out your statement originated from standpoints ingrained into you by your uplines, rather than via a thinking and rationalizing process. -
mlm, all money minded.
first they tell me "don't you want to have alot of money? and stay in a bungalow?"
i told him straight in the face "No... that's why i have the job i'm happy now, i'm contented and i want to stay in a HDB flat"
then he pushes it more.. "Don't you want to have a BMW? Don't tell me you want to ride your bike forever? People will look up to you if you have a BMW"
To which i said "No, I don't like cars and I just sold my car because I love riding. I feel more freedom when I ride"
Next that moron brings in "Then would your GF want you to be like that? She would choose someone with money and power over you right?"
I wanted to punch him in the face for saying that, but then again... i was thinking maybe his life was that bad that's why he had that kind of mentality. -
oh and the dumb thing is, the first people they want you to go to to sell products... your family and friends.
GEEZ, yea i see the network part.

and why do you network marketeers always think about what YOU GUYs will stand to gain... why don't you start by thinking in terms of what will OTHERS gain?
If you can convince me and share your wealth of knowledge, not only will i respect you for being knowledgeable and SINCERE, i will also stand to benefit from that bit of information you have shared with me. -
MLM really sucks, take my words for it. you have been brainwashed and are not aware of it. its basically exploitation of the innocent downlines who slog for the toplines. those pple who claim big earnings are the few uplines thaz all.

my friend who has not talked for years called me up and was trying to sell spine correcting underclothes, i went "wtf??!!"
my boss suddenly got friendly and called me out for coffee and sell me alternate medicines and i had to buy just to entertain him and keep my arse and job safe.
my good friend was contemplating to quit his job of many years to join mlm, thinking he would earn more to have a better llife. that was soooo stupid. he was like totally brainwashed and could not think logically. today he's suffering.
how many pple are suffering quietly like him in joining mlm.

mlm doesn't suck. their products suck. that is why they cost much more than similar products of better quality. another reason for the high price is because they wanna hit and run. because everyone knows, after they con you into buying 1 of their samples to try, you will never want to step into their shop again. i'm talking about products only. however, if you are an opportunistic pyramid scam junkie who wants to get rich quick by cheating downlines' money and teaching them how to cheat downlines' money and so on...... voila, mlm is just the right job for you. just make sure that all your friends are either fools, rich kids or scammers just like you
