first of all, I would like to state here that we ARE NOT here to flame any others company. I think we should tell others the good & strength of our company, and not to say "your compensation payout is too low" "your company is too old".
are you trying to compare the retail profit & performance bonus?
if yes, then great! did you calculate the PV & BV ratio also? many companies claim that their payout more than 65%, but if you calculate the PV/BV ratio with Amway's system, their payout actually only 32.5%!
If you wanna study about Amway marketing plan, then I give you one clue. Study about the InDepth Bonus of 1%, study carefully how it work and how it was paid.
if you wanna say Amway total payout is less, then please study about SIP (Sales Incentive Program), FAA (Founder Achievement Award) and also ALS Growth Bonus under the SIP scheme.

just my 2 cents of words, if Amway payout really that unfair, if Amway screw their distributors nicely, then why Amway manage to conquer more than 90 countries in the world? Why their government allowed Amway to operate in their country including Singapore?
I believe that Singapore government and ministry of finance already study & do some research on Amway's reward system. Since you say it's unfair, are you trying to tell me that Singapore government is useless to let a unfair plan to run in Singapore? -

in Amway System, you have no limitation of generations. Means your network can grow until 100 generations and all business are yours.
so, what is InDepth Bonus of 1%? this is a bonus paid to you when your 2nd generation and others (not 1st generation front line) manage to achieve 21%, you will get 1% of InDepth Bonus.
So example,
you > A > B > C > D
when A achieved 21%, u get 4% leadership bonus. when B achieve 21%, you get 1% InDepth Bonus. But what about C & D?
in Amway, if A, B, C & D all achieved 21%, so you can get 4% from A, and 1% from B, C & D (total 3%)!
Imagine this, what if your network growth until 100 generations and ALL achieved 21%? What is the total percentage you will get if 100 of your downline in one row achieved 21% at the same time?
I give you one example how outside play trick with this so called payout percentage.
trick 1#
BV (Business Volumn) = 250BV
Actual Sales = $500
Percentage achieved : 6%
bonus : 250BV X 6% = $15
trick 2#
PV (Point Value) = 250PV
Business Volume = 500BV
Actual Sales = $1000
Percentage achieved : 4%
bonus : 500BV X 4% = $20
this 2 company both claim that their payout percentage higher than Amway, Company 1 pay 6% and company 2 pay 4%.
Now, let me calculate Amway bonus.
PV = 250PV
BV = 500BV
Actual Sales = $500
Percentage achieved : 3%
bonus = 500BV X 3% = $15
now compare with company 1#, company 1# gives 6% but multiple by 250BV (half of the actual sales), so comes to the same although the percentage given is higher.
Company 2# gives 4% with the bonus of $20, but actual sales is $1000. If I use Amway calculation, $1000 x 3% you should get $30 and NOT $20.
Can you see the differences? -

If one week go sponsor one friend, one year you sponsored 52 friends into your network. You need ONLY 2 years to complete this 100 person line.

The calculation I gave is not to make anyone shiok, it's just a basic calculation of one of the bonus BUT people always set their mind at 1% only. They didn't realise that the Amway reward system is totally different from others, Amway allow you to accumulate this 1% from your whole team.
I believe that if you know some marketing plan from others company, you will find that they only limit your bonus until 5th or 7th generations. Why?
Amway gives 1% for unlimited generations and others company gives 2% for limited 7 generations, so tell me "WHO IS GIVING HIGHER PERCENTAGE?" -

Of course you can say this is BS or what ever, anyhow you can carry on with your so called "high payout" company. I prefer unlimited payout rather than limited generations. -
Now, let's see the next NEW bonus, the FAA Bonus.
This bonus is calculated base on worldwide turnover, not based on specific country only. For your info, China 2003 turnover is RMB20billion.
Is this FAA Payout High enough for you?
FAA bonus is now a legalcy bonus that you can pass to your children or next generation!

I am not going to explain here how this can work.
You have been fooled by those people that claim their payout percentage higher than Amway.
Actually what I used to tell others, although some company pay higher percentage, but all these percentage are based on personal group sales.
But in Amway, the SIP Bonus and FAA Bonus are based on worldwide turnover.
A normal MLM company have maximum 5 type of bonus, but Amway gives total 15 types of different bonuses.
So no big deal even if some MLM company pay high high retail profit or performance bonus, the FAA bonus can cover all bonus these company paid.
