Me been to both bukit timah nature reserve and pulau ubin to cycle ... Fun !!! Coz it's very different from normal cycling on proper paved roads .. hee .. but pulau ubin's bike aren't that good ...
Anybody into night cycling ?? Any suggestion of any good routes ?? Me wanna organize a night cycling group .. Haha ..

Our route:
Jurong West Extension -> Jurong East (stop for supper) -> Choa Chu Kang -> Bukit Panjang -> Bukit Timah (King Albert Park) -> Newton Circus -> Orchard Road (feels shiok to cycle in front of Wisma n Taka at nite) -> Selegie -> Lau Pa Sat -> One Fullerton.
cycled from 10p.m to 3a.m, rest, then repeat the same journey back.. haha.. it's fun...!

Haha ... Nice route ... Hmm ... It seems that ya live at the west side ya ?? haha ... Going to the the city area is a great idea ... But me live in the North East side ... Hee ... Will consider ur route .. Really like the idea of cycling in Orchard area at night ... Muz go try it out one day soon manz ...

North east ar? Tried cycling to Punggol End? Or Punggol Marina [though closed for renovations]? Very interesting places. The road like rollercoaster like that.
Cycle along NEL seems interesting to me. But never tried.

i stayed in the east, so, i think the puggol route through old tampines could be quite interesting.
how about the pasir ris beach towards lor halus? is there any road for the bike to sengkang using the tampines rd? -
Not exactly what i will call interesting but i think its the only "legal" route to get to Sengkang from Pasir Ris by cycling. Illegal meaning cycling on TPE. Pasir Ris Dr 3, Pasir Ris Dr 12, Tampines Ave 10, Old Tampines Rd, Tampines Rd, Hougang Ave 1, Hougang Ave 8 (Punggol Park), Hougang Ave 10, Punggol Road.

mine just an original transport bike with no proper suspension, so, will avoid those hilly tracks at pasir ris for the time being. some more the gear changing no working properly.
how r those mountain bikes that cost less then $100? heard the korean make is better. -

hardly. usually is to a certain destination.
itz fun riding around with the bike 'cos you can travel to those lanes with private houses and get to see some interesting design.
i think its really cool to cycle to the east coast beach for dinner. -

anyone know of any bicycle shop that sells good/comfortable saddle/bicycle seat?
apparently, the standard bicycle seat can be harmful and cause numbness during long ride. -
wat do u call the bicycles that are really big...like the ones in east coast? eh...assuming u're around 1.65, u can juz stand on ur feet frm the seat...for me i can't touch the ground frm the seat...i'm too short at 1.6 ...
how much will they cost i wonder...i wanna buy one of those if i hav the money..then it'd be 1 comfy ride....no more aching bums...

height a problem? i am less than 1.6 but dun have a prob with my bike, and its huge i swear.
anyways would love to do more night cycling. been to ubin many times, know the place damned well.

that bike that i was referring to is real big...n the seat is quite tall...despite having adjusted it...

i'll post a pic of my bike. my bike is pretty tall too... but my seat was better, the spar is not too long so i can leave it shorter. in spite of that though, on it, my feet barely reaches the ground. to overcome this problem, i often find curbsides, benches or railings to stop against so i can have a higher point to rest my foot on.

checked the websites and there are so many different types of bicycle seats. anyway, went to get one the other day from a shop near kembangan mrt. the shop name is Soon Watt & Co. along changi road. it cost me $63 very expensive and there are more expensive ones. it does help but long ride still can be a bit uncomfortable but much better than the ordinary seats. well for the time being will just have to settle for this.
