urm actually I was thinking we should applaud and thank him for psoting the links, coz every little bit helps. By posting links and articles for us, he is contributing to the forum, rather than some animal farms who makes so much nonsensical noise.

The answers:
Because their training and brain-washing is strong, so strong that people in Amway will not leave even if they don't make money; and they are good in looking for new bloods and young people who do not have much exposure to MLM.
In fact, I don't consider them as successful if you look at the range of products they have, meaning their sales volume per product is relatively small.
In Malaysia, Amway is so difficult to do that they are thought to switch to a "pyramid" method and will not reveal to a prospect that it is Amway.
In Singapore, people are more intelligent and many MLM Companies start together, so I think Amway will not be as successful here as compared to other countries which they started when there is less competitors.
My advice is don't join Amway unless you want to learn something from them and take it as a stepping stone, but beware, don't be brainwashed and start telling all your friends you will never leave Amway and that they are the best. This is how they teach you inside. I have seen many people said that and eventually find themselves very shameful to join other Companies and ruin their own future in MLM.

Let me share with you, all business including Amway will need time to be successful. Just only one and the half year in Singapore and you can make this statement, I think it is a bit too early to tell. Even new business venture need al least two to three years to see some good results.
If Amway is easy to get rich so easily then all of us will jump striaght in. Success depends mainly on you, Amway only provide you with the environment and products to help you.
Amway will not force you to buy a single thing if you do not want to.
Understand, the different with other MLM. -

Herbalife also claim they are 'over 58 countries, 24 years, over xxx millions of consumers'. Its very superficial to say 80 countries count for something, and that are you sure they are successful in 80 countries?
From what experienced said, and what i found out, Amway isnt the largest in SEA. The main reason why Amway is so big coz it was forged over 30 years ago after the hoo ha with FTC. Since they started much earlier, and also more agressive, naturally they expanded earlier, and to over 80 countries.
I remember once this AMH distributor who stated his/her company has over 500 or 600 distributors and growing. I shot back, is it retained membership numbers or the overall numbers of suckers which has been suckered left plus new suckers coming in?
So, the 80 countries doesnt count for anything. So are any numbers Amway may have quoted.
The chief complaints about Amway (this being first hand account from acquaintance and even my parents), they were selling a varitey of ineffective products and have high maintenance, low payout marketing plan. I had interviewed a lady who switch from Amway to other company (she is a consumer, not a distributor) and she told me she had seen better products.
There are various articles from few MLM Watchdogs recounting Amways various almost pyramid like operations in few countries. I will post these articles by and by. The main concern is not whether Amway is illegal. Various articles came up as to how Amway operations are different from country to country. To me, thats signify the company is quite disunited in its culture and operations. One company that is quite the opposite is actually Herbalife, without going into its structure, its quite united and it have operated the same way from country to country.
Lastly, success being one thing. For a large company like Amway, if its really successful in its business plans, we would expect good results soon, there is no need to wait. And not only that, by now after MLM starts to be regulated in sg, we should start to receive positive feedback. To be counted as successful, Amway being a pioneer in this industry would have very good biz strucutre.
Unfortunately, Amway is always used as punching bag for the network marketeers and others alike.
So its more than the results that count.I would always like to emphasise the difference between big and successful. Many factors go into being successful, including high success rate and low dropout.
To state how good is Amway, you have to come out with various accredited statistics pertaining to Amway products, marketing plan, success rate and so on...

As for the marketing plan about high maintenance cost, I think you do not understand the plan at all. As a distributors, you are not required to spend a single cents if you do not wish to buy at all. No quota to maintain, where is the maintenance cost?
As for better products, definitely you can find other brands just as good. How can Amway be the best in all the products they sell then it will be monopolised the market.
There is good products in Amway like dishdrops, nutrilite, etc.
For more details and facts, I will not bring out in the forum as I only share it personally with people who wanted to build Amway business. I do not have to prove it to you.
Remember ask those who succeed in the business not ask those who fail in the business.

Singapore use to ban Amway , Malaysia has been selling Amway for 20 years , then SG release the ban ! My mum was there in the 80's , mum was trained In MY , then sell it at SG !
She eventually gave up ! The management tempt you by promising you Platinium , Silver , Gold , Diamond , Sapphire etc status if you hit a certain target , and goes up higher and higher......and show you example of millionaires in three years stuff , all B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T stuff !
They use to target AUNTIES at that time , now they started to train insurance people , property people , jobless people , retrench people to join them !
I still doubt MLM can succeed in SG ! -

Everything so negative... be honest with yourself if u cannot even start a business with Amway. Tell me what can u do to be successful. Don't tell me u got no capital lah. Even no need to have a big some of capital also cannot do. Might as well work for people for life and take MRT stay HDB no need to dream of getting your own beautiful car liao.
Some people with no big dreams just stay on forever with no change. By saying be contented with your present life will be fine. I say this is bluffing, Singapore is changing very fast and it is to ordinary people who will evetually suffer.
Last time, we can say we have a secure career, now our ministers tell us to adjust our life to accept variable wages as norm.
Just see for yourself things has really getting tougher.

By gathering alot of people only created the big sales volume for the time being. This method will not last too.
All those who join understand the Amway value and concepts will only succeed. But remember also involved hardwork.
Take for example, so far in this forum all speak negatively and no one agreed it will succeed. Tell me for an aunty is it a very tough job to succeed with all this type of negative people around.
You must have in depth knowledge, product knowledge, company knowledge, marketing plan and also must know how to help those that join under you, able to do presentation and also able to lead.
All this are qualities to succeed not just recruiting only and ended up all your distributors mind are empty only dreams to succeed only.
Even with the above qualities, one must be able to motivate himself and a strong belief.
All great man, never accept defeat only to find a solution.
You can use this qualities to do other business too but thing of how much risk you have to take all by yourself. In Amway, you have no risk.
I have living example of Singaporean (my friend) succeeded in the business. Always ask how those succeeded for advised not ask those who failed for advised. -

I am here to share my views of Amway so that those who want to build their business can consider Amway. And hope people will not be miss the opportunity. My point is to be able to succeed in Amway you need a lot of your time but not necessary money cos Amway is giving everyone a chance to build a business of their own.
