An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away

I believe Eve is alluding to the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away. It means apple are so nutritious they keep you in the peak of health. -

Donch know, English people are quite deep in their language as you can see from other posts. They probably mean other good quality about roses that appeals to people, like vibrant colour, wonderful fragrance......
