Forever living product

Hi all,
I am completely new to MLM and of course also new in this forum. Today I have registered for Forever Living although I still got no idea of which MLMs are good to enroll into. Maybe the guy (who is now my adviser) was doing the selling job on me too well.
Anyway the enrolling fee is only $18. Upon signing up I got a package of the company profile, product catalog and one CD about the company's product as well. So I have no complaint about the enrolling procedure at all.
But now it is the point that I need to decide whether or not I should straight away make an investment of around $500 on buying Company's product which will enable me to become an assistant supervisor, so that I am eligible to enroll people under me. If you think I should do, then do you have any suggestion of what products of the company are good? Are comestics stuff good(since I want to buy for myself)? What products of the company is selling well?
Also if you have any comment or tip on doing business with this company. share with me and others whatever you think about Forever Living .

It's very hard to ask pple to join you.. u are like throwing ur money away just to get that position, though there are many examples of how pple really succeeded but not everyone have that 'luck' do think twice...

i am using their products also. very good skin cares products they have. but i won't advise you to buy their cosmetics. i'm a make-up artist, so i know. their make-up is not logical for normal and daily use.Originally posted by Queen_of_rain:Hi all,

some very selling products are the aloe gel, omega3, vit. C, bee series and skin cares.
i really have to recommend you their tothpaste. best i ever use. can cure ulcers within the night.
even if you're not keen in this career, at least you must use some of the products.

The products are really good but to do this business, u have to be real good in selling and sponsoring as well. Takes a lot of time also.

My sister was with in Forever Living roughly from yr 1995 - 1998...She rosed to i think a Gen Manager??? I forgot...
I would say the market in Sg wouldn't bring you as far as you expect. Hence my sis went to KL(Malaysia) HQ to build her 'kingdom', i can tell you that people in Malaysia are very interested in these marketing strategies.
The products especially Cranberry berry Nectar Juice, Bee Propolis Cream, and of cos the famous Artic Sea demostration.

Sorry, I mean we can sell but we get no retail profits for selling, just get the points. And the monthly maintenance requirement is not that high so we can just buy for our own use or find someone to be shopper members.
I see some companies have high monthly maintenance requirements of over a thousand dollars. I'm not really good at sales so I can't earn anything. And it takes a lot of my time. -

No matter what company u r from, lets not backstab each other since it does no good to the industry.
Why this industry is getting worse is due to blacksheep among these companies. Jus take a look at the newspaper for the past one month, alot of articles is focusing on NETWORK MARKETING, and they also teaches us how to prevent from bad companies. if u wan to know, read the straits times forum on MLM and chinese lianhezhaobao on last sunday 18/01/04.
Most imptly, its not the money that counts. Some need money as their motivation, some need cars as their motivation, some need to sit down relax doing nothing to get money.. but there are some here to know more new friends, some here to learn the skills tat a real networker can attain eg public speaking and communication skills, and some here to gain general knowledge since it is an industry with people from all works of life.
