If you guys have been reading ST, you'd realise that there's a mini-debate going on about how we can improve taxi efficiency, so to speak.
What has been suggested is raising the taxi fares to shorten queues and to stagger the times at which taxi drivers change their shift.
What do you guys think?

In my opinion, that's going to make matters worse. Right the biggest reason sited by taxi-drivers in not going to the airport is the long taxi queue. Increasing the $$$ will only make the queue longer and taxi drivers even more unwilling to venture to the airport. Nevermind lah, we will have the last laugh when the MRT to the airport is completed.

I think staggering the time would be most useful. I remember trying to catch a taxi to school (when I am getting late), and taxi drivers telling me it is time to change shift. I am all in favour of staggering the shift timing.

i think it's ridiculous that they wanted to raise the surcharge to 5 bucks. at a point of time, there's a peak hour surcharge, then comes the 'every- stop' surcharge and now this... they dun seems to stop! maybe next round they'll have 'extra goods/luggage' surcharge or even hospital surcharge. win already loh.. like that then everyone dun study and be taxi drivers loh... hee.. hee..
