erm
It's just an analogy. Haven't you heard of the story of the Emperor's new clothes?
But it's ok. I still find you having less flexibility. At least I can "reprimand" my customers. They are not always right.
Well, it's how you see it.
Since when we can't reprimand our customers???
Anyway, nevermind about that. There will always be a difference in opinion.

So when do you reprimand your customers, and still retain their business and make them think you are still good? ;)
Like when they give unreasonable demand at the expense of your time or your kindness?
For example, a customer may demand you to bring the products to their house everytime they order it even though they could opt for auto shipment.
In this scenario, it would be wise of you to highlight to them on a better alternatives to it no?
From the way you describe, you still have less flexibility
Nvm... lazy to teach also... tonight is my early sleep night... nights
the "free and easy" flexibility of being and MLM agent when you're at the start is just an illusion...though not hold true for some, it holds true for most...thats wot i think...
Come whenever you can...bla bla bla...its a fact that you are made to attend all their shit...
They make it sound like its some kinda tuition class...
In the end most agents end up spend alot of money travelling, eating and spend on whatever shit it is that they are advised on and not making any money to even cover for their expenses...

Well if this is really true coming from NP, i can honestly say that the country will be a better place if MLM is illegal here in SG...lolz..(pun not intended)
4 MLMers, it will be a blessing in disguise for you all..realli...ha

You don't see it as being an employee, I do see you as an employee.
Example... a tuition teacher at Stalford is paid according to the number of students who sign up for his/her class. It is fully commission based. Is the teacher considered employed? Maybe no to you, but it's a yes to me.
Never mind la, you happy can liao. Just be the king who wears his new clothes and struts around can liao :D
You don't have customers, u dont have the income.
If your downlines all decide to go on strike, there goes your "5 figure" income.
Stable income? I hardly think so.

My friend was called up for an interview as a management trainee but he doesn’t remember applying for this position.
He received this email after speaking to a lady from EY (not Ernst and Young) who called and she said they’re a financial company. She said they had engaged a headhunting company but are unable to reveal which website (JobsDB or JobStreet, etc) it is due to confidentiality purposes.
She also said it’s not an MLM company and are purely a financial company.
This is the email:

probe for name of company. You have full right to know which company u're going to interview with right? If they still hide here n there, about their name and which field they're in ("financial" can be very wide), got chance is MLM.
I found a EUNICE YUEN & ASSOCIATES occupying this unit via google

If they found your profile in a job website like JobsDB, that means they should already have a copy of your resume with them. (your resume would have been posted at the job site for them to see right? )
Asking you to bring another copy should already alert you to be careful.
And what crap confidential headhunting info can they not reveal?
If it was a legitimate headhunting firm, the headhunter will be calling you first to find out more about you, not the client company.
I suspect it could be those companies seeking participants to their "wealth seminars". They want people to sign up for their seminars which they will teach you financial planning and those NLP stuff. Yes, you get to pay them money to join their "I want to make you rich" seminar.
If you are curious, can go see what it is all about, but never sign anything or provide too much personal details to them if you find it is not a job interview.
.
why MLM
You buy the products with your money, then go out to sell the products to others to earn the money...
I rather trade shares
Think we shouldn't brand the whole MLM or Direct Selling industry as bad just because of a few black sheeps.
Regardless of whatever industry, there are always black sheep but that doesn't mean the industry is bad.
One word of precaution is this, if you are seriously considering to join an MLM company, do not invest in more than $5,000 and the most important thing is this, ask them the prices of the products they are buying from the company and the prices you will be buying, then you know if your upline is frontloading you.
Eugene
Wow, looks like a debate to me, hahaha...
But I glanced through and find this said is quite true: MLM is not for everyone! Only for minority, I guess.
Recently I read a book call 'Corporate Life to Multi Level Marketing'. What I learned from this author - Lee Poh Eng is really an eye-opener for me. Maybe before anyone especially for those who use to 'listen only' to others or those who ever joined MLM but always put blame on the company but not themselves, are advise to read this book. Of course, if you are curious & love to read, please go and get one.
Please don't get me wrong, I don't promote this book but only for sharing purpose.
