Hi all.
Your discussion has encouraged me to join in. I can't help but realise most of you here exhibit an appalling and laughable command of English. But that's not my point.
You lot are engaged in a discussion on Astral Mag and the phenomenon of direct sales in Singapore. Some of you have vehement accusations of this trade, as well as mentioning certain companies representing this trade.
After reading most of your comments, I feel that many of you don't even know what you are arguing about. Perhaps it is simply catharsis that you are putting your thoughts in words. But it appears that most of your thoughts are fragmented and formless.
Some of you cry foul over the "ethics" of Astral Mag. How many of you know what is this "ethics" you are talking about? Are these companies "ethically questionable" or are most of your arguments solely based on self interest and pure ignorance? I think the latter might be more the case.
I stress that I'm not from this company, or am I affiliated with it in any way. You are welcome to critique my views, if you have the capacity to. Please.
This has absolutely no relevance to the topic, but I do commend you on your impeccable command of the English language.
Empiricism, it gets to us. We reify statistics and figures so that it becomes a coercive reality. We then have no choice but to act according to it.
Empiricism, we all succumb to it once in a while, some of us most of the time. We use it as a yardstick through which "approproate action" is devised and executed.
Empiricism, it makes fools of us all.
