THE HEADLINE SHOULD READ SUNSHINE EMPIRE SUES SE MERCHANT
So many websites and blogs features SE products, publish SE information.
From a SE-partner website http://www.success-empire.com/sunshine.html we learned that
Source of information: most are from Sunshine Empire events, verbal news, and few are from other websites / forums/ blogs
But can news issued during such SE-organised events, but to which nothing is reported on its actual website (just look at the websites of http://www.emcomgroup.net/ and even the news page of http://www.sunshine-empire.com/singaporev3/eng/news.asp be used to sue the Merchants who then reprint the information on their blogs/websites?
... the former showed a blank Enquiry page despite the tremendous and aggressive sales as shown in countless blogs and websites about the Tawian Wimax project (now proven to be a dream that remained a dream, yet still amazingly marketed in Malaysia)....
....and the latter said nothing about the 'INVESTMENT' or Networking Methods of how Sunshine Enpire helps partners earn through except their Corporate Profile (http://www.sunshine-empire.com/singaporev3/eng/cp-theriseoftheempire.asp?view=2)
Yet many SE information can be gleaned from many (although removed) websites and blogs.

Our News Reporter must had made afew enquiries here and there, leadng to the eventual withdrawal by the Awards Organisers.

In it, he leaked information (unknown to the Public) that SE Mgmt Staff were going to recieve awards during the coming Global Business Opporunities Forum (http://gboforum.com/).

AWARDS earmarked for two businessmen linked to controversial multi-level marketing (MLM) firm Sunshine Empire have been withdrawn.
Industry sources told the The Straits Times that Mr James Phang and Mr Ignious Yong will not get the gongs at the Global Business Opportunities Forum next week.
Mr Phang, the man behind Sunshine, was due to receive an outstanding and innovative global entrepreneur award.
He is the founder and international president of Empire Group Alliance, of which Sunshine is an associate firm.
Mr Yong, managing director of Mr Phang's telecommunications arm, Empire Communications, was due to get an award for most potential enterprise.
The organisers reviewed their list of winners after recent press reports about Sunshine.
On Oct 24, The Straits Times reported that Sunshine was under the authorities' spotlight, as its activities appeared to be more of those of a pure investment scheme, for which it is not licensed. Sunshine has been named on the investor alert list by the Monetary Authority of Singapore since September.
The forum organiser declined to comment.

Actually, this suit will do more harm than good to SE.
The main website http://www.sunshine-empire.com contains little or no information about the networking method of SE, while almost ALL SE MERCHANTS all over the world will publish SE logos, 'investments' plans, high sales, payslips etc to attract new SE members to sign up.
What this suit essentially means, no SE Merchant is allowed to promote SE recruitment, sales targets, property venture details etc...
Then SE should publish the information themselves rather than leave it to their Business Partners, and then sue them when things go wrong! -
its quite true that it will damage SE's reputation further
becos they will look like some petty minded fools who got their candy snatched away and they are looking for person responsible for it
its also as good as admitting to the faults, because if no one leak it out, they wouldnt be found out and they can safely get their awards -
SE people are using their friendster profile/blog, etc to promote SE.. Now this?
SE themselves posting false stuff, yet-to-be-verified projects on their website, now suing people who does the same? -
If a company cannot afford proper communication channels, it should just close.

Almost all SE merchants advertised using SE material, so I would be most surprised if nobody cared from that side of the fence. -

SE all internal news, not supported by mainstream reported news... so all not verified... Then Phang comes along and sues blogger for writing unverified stuff?
Maybe they should use material from this forum as evidence. Also SE had used Spiderman 3 soundtrack in their promo vid for Melaka theme park. Wonder if they asked permission. -
maybe he will get some money from his father JP for the time spend in jail.

SE vs Fong Yoong Kheong for copyrights infringements.
Mr Fong owned www.sunshine-empire-holdings.com which posted many SE-related articles, similar to many trends and methods deployed by many SE Merchants in their own websites/blogs.
This case should be thus watched keenly.

SE Merchant Mr Yong went 1 step further to say that our PM Lee will be giving out the awards to the SE mgmt.
For that, he has already apologised in the newspaper.
So for SE to sue him now for copyright infringement..... that's why this case is important and will affect the way SE Merchants worldwide promote their recruitment exercise.
In order to appear legit in front of the law, almost none of the advertisement material can be found in their official website, while almost all sorts of information (which are similarly worded, phrased to suggest there was a release by somebody and they are quoting from a similar source(s))
I would urge SE (if the mgmt is reading this) not to go further and let My Yong go.
