A stupid guy's been mass randomly msg-ing people asking if they want to work part time. I can recognise that logo anywhere. The notorious MLM company, VE.
That's the worst tactic I've ever seen!

I see it as modern slavery, giving people false hopes and lots of manipulation of emotions, unethical tactics, etc. -

using tatics and "methods" dat are used and reused once again AND again. -

I can't believe he's using friendster to promote VE now! Calling up strangers and preying on those naive and gullible ones is alrdy bad enuf!
He's from this very dominating team in VE. They hv been top team like 3 times in a row like that.

Their arguement is that "it gives ppl a reason to join". But most of the times it's just plain irritating -

Another way is cold letters, etc.... All need extremely thick skin. And be prepared to be scolded at. There is a significant number of Friendster members sending out such mail. I usually delete it right away. They usually look for profiles that state interest or job in doing sales. My profile mentions that I am interested in going to "garage sales", which is a totally different thing from what they think. But I still get a lot of such mails. Grr...

I guess all these MLM-ers are starting to use websites such as Friendster and WLNY to promote their companies and get ppl to join. I guess they want to spread to as many ppl as possible.
