Not all MLM is bad la .. look at Amway, for so many years leow, who got reported being cheated ... ? They are some other company doing very well without restorting to cheat / scamming. If everything pointed to this SE is correct, it is not an MLM but a pyramid scheme.. The CAD have to decide if this is true.. so we can now only wait for CAD's investigation ... meantime, how many more gullible will be cheated by this company ... sigh ...Originally posted by Hanagata:haha nice one... and IMO i never like MLM... no offence

You have got to be kidding. There are so many complaints about Amway/Quixtar - especially about the 'tools' business.Originally posted by ORIGAMIST:Not all MLM is bad la .. look at Amway, for so many years leow, who got reported being cheated ... ? If your father said that the sky is crashing down, u believe?Originally posted by KitKen:No! Its not a scam! This is what my manager told me. So pls stop all these if you have no proof or evidence. Thank you.
nowadays, even many corporates give title to lower management as it shows more professionalism ( cant rmb exactly ) so even if ur just a small employee in charge of something u ll still be given a title. in mlm similarly, buy some products and u rise thru the ranks, everyone is a manager, big dealOriginally posted by redstone:If your father said that the sky is crashing down, u believe?
If your "father" James Phang said that he's god of the world, u believe? He says he's better than Warren Buffett, u believe?
I say I'm richer than Bill Gates, u believe?
In mlm, almost everyone's a manager inside. It's a fake rank to make the poor slaves feel good.

sorry, I am not well informed ... the last time I read, well ... it was a good company in a sense ... maybe I should say they are not a scammer . . .Originally posted by Phaze:You have got to be kidding. There are so many complaints about Amway/Quixtar - especially about the 'tools' business.

A 5 part article - here's part 1:

You can bluff during your presentations, but you can't bluff in SEC filings.

The average income for a Quixtar IBO in 2005 was $115 a month. Hardly the raod to riches. And those IBOs probably spent a lot more to support their 'business' don't forget, a lot of the sales come from the distributor's themselves 'front loading'.

Get your facts right mate. Stop making groundless assumptions when everything is not confirmed yet. SE was blacklisted bcos its prime plan appears to run like a financial investment scheme for which it was not licensed to do so, not bcos of suspicions that it is a scam or pyramid gameOriginally posted by ORIGAMIST:Not all MLM is bad la .. look at Amway, for so many years leow, who got reported being cheated ... ? So what he actually meant?Originally posted by sniper_xp:Bro u can't blame Mr JP if it wasn't his intention to say that, he was a chinese school graduate and thus may not know how to express himself in english with the proper word
Thus he use the word 'better' when he meant something else. Don't shoot, this wad was my fren told me when he attended the Grand lions rally @ Expo on the 2nd Nov, when Mr JP explain to all SE members that though he phrased the sentence to say that he is better than Warren Buffet, he actually meant somethin else but bcos JP chinese is too chim he cldn't understand wad he said lol
the problem is.... where does SE pump the money into to get such high returns?Originally posted by sniper_xp:Get your facts right mate. The question of whether issit a pyramid/ponzi scheme is another issue. But it seems suspicious that their CRP payout to all prime holders came from only 10% of SE turnover when the combined $$ to be paid back equals >100 millions p/month, i wonder how their revenue model can generate so much $$ to give back the hefty rebated they promised their prime holders
Yes, that's the simple question to which SE has not been able to answer.Originally posted by redstone:the problem is.... where does SE pump the money into to get such high returns?
Ok my fren who attended the Grand Lions rally sad that he meant that he is more 'chuan2 qi2'()*chinese word*, as compared to Warren BuffetOriginally posted by laurence82:So what he actually meant?
And if so, why isnt it clarified?
Why should we believe you?
Oh he's a legend alright.... A legendary scammer, a legendary joker.Originally posted by laurence82:chuan qi? legendary?
he is more legendary than Warren Buffett?

* Is Sunshine Empire offering a pyramid scheme or money game?
* Why do Sunshine Empire offer such high returns?

* Has Sunshine Empire members got back their money every month?

Is Sunshine Empire offering a pyramid scheme or money game?
Sunshine Empire VS Pyramid/Ponzi Scheme
* Sunshine offers products & services of values like Emall Empire & Emcall BUT Pyramid/Ponzi do not offers products or products with no value.
* Sunshine have great leadership under International President and Pyramid/PonziÂ’s leader & founders does not expose his identity
* Sunshine diversified & well-managed portfolio of assets and Pyramid/Ponzi do not have any assets.
If Sunshine Empire was a scam,
* Would SingaporeÂ’s office continually be situated at HDB Hub (Government building)?
* WouldnÂ’t SingaporeÂ’s efficient law and order bodies take action?
* Would Singapore Tourism Board welcome Sunshine Empire International Merchants to Singapore at the airport?
Why do Sunshine Empire offer such high returns?
1) To attract merchants to sign up for long-term Emcall package. If there were no perks, no one would sign up for a plan that runs for 4 years.
2) The management optimises the usage of resources.
3) Low overhead costs as compared to established telcos because:
* Low rental (1 office in each country)
* Low operating cost (Emcall is a service rider)
* Commission-based in Sunshine Empire vs Monthly wages in telcos
* Low maintenance (no underground cables, just a server to maintain)
4) Telecommunication generates loads of profits
* E.g. A Singapore Telco announced a net profit of hundreds of millions in Q1 2007.
* Huge database of Emcall users
5) To set Sunshine Empire as a premier Network Marketing company
6) To reward the confidence that merchants entrust to Sunshine Empire.
* When the plan was launched in August 2006, the returns (CRP and CLP) were much higher as compared to present values
* Future CRP and CLP might not be as high since Sunshine Empire would have already been a recognised brand.
* How do Sunshine Empire generate such high returns?
* Emcom is building Wireless Internet cities. Subscription to Internet access is an either-pay-or-cut kind of necessity. This will create a very high amount of earnings to the alliance.
* Empire Property VentureÂ’s property assets
* In short, all the wings of the Alliance are powerful assets
Has Sunshine Empire members got back their money every month?

How is it possible to get so high returns in Sunshine Empire when I get so low returns from established banks and stock investments?
Under a great leader who can optimise resources, it is possible.
If not, how do Donald Trump go from bankruptcy to multi-billionaire in one year?
that's the point.. dun they (the MLM) have any sense of shame?? y must they cheat ppl of their money?? i believe that they muz b sum law that the govt cant do much about this... OR MLM companies might be giving false description on how they operate... as far as i know.. govt dun allow pyramid scheme to be oeprated in singapore.. and sad to say... MLM are EYEING on ppl who are easily influenced... giving examples of incentives like able to buy a car after a period of time... getting more ppl to join can add on to your earnings ,etc. DID anyone EVER try to persuade a strong-minded person to change his mind, to join MLM? to change his mind to earn lots of money when he dun intend to? if no, FARK MLM.Originally posted by johntoil:Straits Times expose on SE, raise focus on MLM and other MLM biz in Singapore. Yes, SE ran into problem because they cross over a fine line on its investment schemes. Why does our govt turn a blind to MLM companies pitching a $30 bottle of Vitamin C to its member at $200? Do we have a responsibility to protect un-suspecting consumers or Singaporeans? By allowing them to operate freely in this country, the message is that they are doing it legally. If you wish to be conned into buying over-priced products, it's not my fault.
So, I think SE did no wrong like any other MLMs operating here. They did their scams in the proper legal manner. Simply fine-tune their scams to fall outside the ambit of MAS, they will do just fine.
