scarletfever's list shows us that there are certain groups of MLMers who chose not to discuss the topic qualitatively
rather they resort to using poor analogies, irrelevant examples, and so called logic to reply to purposeful questions
for example, when i ask about the financial strength of the company, because i wish to know if company has a good cashflow management, for example, to pay distributors their income on time, i get MLMers who shot back asking me if i think Mircrosoft would collapse or not
i mean like wtf, such questions if shot at appropriate time, would stun potential agents and maybe bamboozle them, but there are people whose purpose is not to sit down there and listen to such rubbish replies
question is, do we want to still engage such people, or do we come up with a set of smart alecky replies to shoot back?
for me personally, i am not going to go down to such level -

long time no see. i seldom logged in here nowadays.
once in a while, i will post this same long list in here. hope veterans like you don't get bored reading the same old long list. its for the newbies.
the list is complied not from me but from all forummers in here. the credit goes to all forummers, not me alone.
I hope ppl who are suspectingly being lured to MLM talks print this list out and bring it with them. they are supposed to take it out and tick accordingly what has been said after the MLMer has finished his presentation to con these poor guys into pouring their money in.

b) common sense tells you that anyone who boasts an income and wants you to join his scheme, must be able to show proof of income

I think that everyone are networkers. Might it be students, adults, or even kids. Let me ask this question. When you were younger, did you boast to your friends about anything before? Did it ever cross your mind that you are already networking then? Did you ever had friends who end up buying the same bag or clothes as you just because you convinced them that it is nice? Did you ever managed to ask your friends out to go shopping or do anything to u when they didnt wan to at first? Can i say that you are also CONvincing your friends? So are u a CON man since u are a kid???
Im now working v closely with many businessmen. U realise that they like to go play golf, drink coffee, and even hightea partying. you think they reali go there juz to enjoy ah??? when u ask the actual reason, they will tell u...'this is the best time to noe XXX boss. He will help me in my business.' or "he is very impt to me. he can help me expand my business." Isnt this wat MLM people are doing oso? so can I say that everyone is a networker???? CtCaLn, somehow, you and everyone who promotes MLM use this lousy example, and treat us as 3 year old children who do not understand the intricacies of the English language.
NETWORKING -- talking to friends, getting to know more people blah blah blah
NETWORKER -- using one's network of friends to sell a product.
if you boast to your friend that u score 100% in a test, u are not selling a product, and this is actually counter-productive in a networking environment coz your friend would be saying "oh yea right, stop showing off".
if you tell your friend that the Spiderman series kicks ass and he should watch it, it is deemed as networking, because ultimately, you do not earn a single cent of commission from Golden Village, or other smaller cinemas. and on top of that, you do not OWN the Spiderman series, or Golden Village.
if you talk to businessmen of higher calibre who understands the intricacies of the language, go for high tea and all sorts of crap, u are networking, because u r not selling them a product.
BUT if you tell your friends, family members, relatives, long lost friends, friends of your friends and all that to join you in your MLM company, or to buy a product from you, you are acting as a networker because you are selling a product. it makes you working, not networking! in addition, this would be damaging to your network of friends; they will shun you because you are pestering them to buy some products which they do not believe and/or are not interested in.
and since i do not think that you will comprehend this in the very near future, i will elaborate. why are you working and not networking in this case? it is because of your intent. you want them to join or to buy a product. you do not want to know them, or care if they die the next day (friends of friends, of course). get it?
jeez. the very thought of u being a Singaporean makes me bloody blush in shame!
