Is it right for management & staff of MLM companies ........

Is it right or fair for management and the staff of MLM companies to be distributors?
I know of one company that allows its MD right down to the counter sales ppl to sign up as distributors. Wouldn't that be a conflict of interests for them?
I'd like to hear your view points. How would you feel if the company's staff has access to all your downlines' records (names/addresses/contact no) and they themselves are distributors?
Forget about ethics. Assuming they know your downlines very well and as some of your people in your network are not really building but just consuming the products, how are you to protect your sales volume IF your customers buy direct from the company's sales counter staff? The thing is, you won't know and will never know as there would be an agreement between the staff and your customer not to reveal his/her source of getting the products.
I am not mentioning the name of the company but this practice has been going on for many many years.

I wonder how many MLM companies do this and if distributors are aware of it.
