Can MLM company sell something which is not approved?

Recently found out that one of the MLM companies is selling a product which is not approved for sale in Canada and maybe US (I am still in the midst of checking this out)
But the strange thing is, this company have all the "certs" showing that their products are legal for sale in the particular country, so makes me wonder, are those certs fake? If yes, how come the authority has not taken any action against them yet?
The product could be harmful to health, I am concerned because someone dear to me is involved in the business...I do have an email from the officer from a Health Board in Canada telling me that this product is not approved for sale in that country, but dun think that is enuff to convince...
Any ideas? -

Legally, can, as long as they are not imported that country, who considers it illegal.

another thing is, the Canada Health Board has a reason for not approving it, it is because they have found out that this particular product can be harmful to health. So doesnt it apply worldwide? -

simple answer:
Yes it is possible.
BUT not for long.
Moreover, it takes people to lodge complaints.
If nobody has the guts (which is most locals), it will take a loooong time for the authorities to build a case against the company.
That said, Singapore has all the laws in place.
It's a matter of establishing which companies fall outside the legal perimeters of the MLM / MTI / CASE guidelines. -

Please confirm with them what kind of office, the size, the sales force. Many companis claimed to be established in several countries with more then how many how many distributors, but upon checking, they may only have a mama shop size floor in a country carrying their products. If singapore health board bans something, is it a worldwide ban? Nope. It's up to individual country. Having said that, one must also understand how products are package and marketed, and how products are categorised. Hence tests in different countries are different. -

the cheaters/scammers are FREE to do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING they WANT until THEY ARE CAUGHT and officially being labeled as Scam.
But as you know, the scam tricks never dies off..as long as people need money, there will be still people who are willingly to be cheated without them knowing that they are being cheated.
