Arrr, but I dun have thick skin so I can't do MLM. I can't talk with a straight face, like nothing's wrong and everything's good, when I noe my company and I will make 50% or more profits off him/her. If the buyer is an arrogant rich kid, knn I'll be happy to rip him off la! But 99% of Singapore's population is made up of the humble down-to-earth average household living in HDB. I juz can't do it.

I feel guilty of bombarding u leh... enquiries seem like a normal guy to me, despite being in MLM, so he wun be next la... Unless he goes the cliched route of saying "U can get ur BMW in 2 yrs! 8-5 boring, this job is freelance, u can work from home and earn more than 8-5! Ur dreams will come true!" then knn I bomb him and I wun even spare his bones...
last week i went to sp poly open house, i met a business course lecturer. i told her tat i'm interested in business course but when i'm in ITE i was in enginnering course. she told me that if u have the passion to do business u can try to get in to this course and she also told me that in business, theory is not so important but the practice is the most important thing. and she also give me example like those only study till sec 4 also can make it big. i was WOW.
i think that in business, theory is not so important but ur IQ have to b good and business also need experience de. so doesn't mean that when u get a degree u come out do business sure success de.

enquiries, as I said on my PM, pls educate not only ur business group but the rest as well. I notice certain typical bogus MLM trends in my 2 hr stay in VE, which is why I was a little agitated in my initial posts.
I mentioned abt the misleading recruitment phone call, ya? If any of my close friends get false hopes of landing a stable job in VE after listening to a phonecall from a VE recruiter, VE will definitely have hell to pay. (at least on this forums. Relax...

Also, pls dun make ur recruits too over optimistic. The manager who discussed the business plan with me made it sound like 'tian yi wu feng' plan of gaining riches and mentions a car name at least once in every 3 sentences. What they didn't address is the low success rate and the high dropout rate as well. Not everyone is suited to do sales or specifically MLM sales. Pls offer both sides of the story to give recruits a full picture.
Another bogus MLM trend I notice in VE is that the recruiter is over zealous and eager to make u stay. Without my consent, she immediately set an appointment the NEXT DAY. For a jobseeker, it's too good to be true, right? Well, luckily, I'm slightly better informed. They should spend more time to actually do the damn interview to decide if I'm suitable or not. What if I'm a criminal or whatever and u guys juz blindly recruit? Goes to show that u guys are in need of quantity like most MLM companies to build a bigger pyramid, and not quality.
I also acknowledge the fact that black sheep are always existent in a company, no matter how good it is. Hope u would take action on what I've highlighted and I believe VE would be one of the better MLM companies out there. (Why I always type long posts ah... Argh... Can't help it...) Cheers!

I'm wondering if you are geniune concern about venture era group or you are just one of those LOW CLASS MLMers from other companies that always waiting for chance to put down your competitors?
I hope you are not the second I had mentioned. It is a pity that MLM industry in singapore is trying hard to give a better impression to public and yet we have those LOW CLASS MLMers acting like a clown in public eyes.

Ehhh... U got the wrong meaning... I nv say degree means sure can make it... What I'm talking abt is the pursuit of knowledge. Maybe not thru university education, but thru reading books, interacting with ppl of intelligence, and ready to humble urself to learn from veterans and seniors.
Those school dropouts who make it big, they really have a big resolution and determination to do business, which is why they succeed. My mum's boss is only an O lvl graduate. But cannot compare to the old times la. Last time, education still not emphasized yet and the ppl of older generation oso been thru tough times to have that kind of determination to strive for success.
So pls dun think that all Sec 4 dropouts can make it. Be it dropouts or university graduates or PHD, it doesn't matter. What matters is ur resolute and boldness to do business. So pls still study ur books, u need that knowledge even if u choose not to pursue a degree.
And my views are turning back to neutral, not pro MLM, still slightly anti though. Cos' some bad MLM companies spoiling the image. Coming to this forum is a good chance for u to train up ur language skills. Juz cos' I didn't bombard him doesn't mean I support him also. Reading carefully is tech. And if u want be like those Sec 4 dropouts become big boss kind of pattern, u can't afford to take the wrong signals. -

From what I know from me friend, Venture Era allows full-time National Servicemen to work inside their company as distributors. But the thing is from what I know, full-time National Servicemen are not allowed to hold jobs outside their military service.
Could someone clarify this, guys? -

I appreciate your sharing with the people here. I understand your point of view and I can feel your passion towards MLM. However, I think the way of sharing your love and passion can be expressed better.

You're right. NSF are not allow to hold jobs outside military service. But many mlm companies cover up for them. Several companies I know allow new people to sign up using their manager's name, hence given another account. This method is not only used by companies recruiting NS people, but also China people who are on studentpass, etc, that can't work.
There are even police working in some of these mlm companies.
They very fact that the mlm company is allowing this is already breaking the law. However the mlm company will say they're spreading health,wealth, not hurting people so why should it be illegal? -

From what I know about them, they tend to have this sort of mentality that what they do is for the benefit of their uplines, because their uplines have been good to them and won their hearts. They feel in debt for whatever their uplines have tried in helping them and wants to return their kindness by helping them fight for eg. car incentives in order for their uplines to achieve the title of a Car Achiever.
However the dark side about them's that, while they know that they should help their uplines achieve their goals and they want to achieve the goals themselves too, they may be overwhelmed till the fact they would do everything to help. Including wasting their time trying to sell off products and not concentrating on studies (I mean, what's the point? Either you work or study full-time) or recruitment of their friends as their downlines.
I mean, in the end after all the effort, who is the one who benefits the most? Not those downlines who have put in all their efforts in selling their products, but the one who achieves it, the one who made it to the Car Achiever status and the whole process goes on.
And the cycle goes on.
Question to those downlines:
When will it be your turn?
"Soon."
Do you have a precise date?
"By end of Year 2007."
Are you really sure you can make it there?
"Yes."
And most of the time, they cant make it.
Because they dont realise they need a longer time.
They are so many uplines above you, it wont be your turn anytime soon.

Me friend is from VE himself and is one very good example. He's now saying that pursuing his usual hobby have become his EXCUSES that deters him away from reaching his goals of wearing blazer and getting his car.
