last time they din ask ppl to write down name or hp. i din know now have to.Originally posted by Sabelli:I got a friend who asked me to listen to a seminar in commonwealth, from Bel' Air (some 'aroma-medicare') MLM company.
First thing I noticed on the ground floor are the products, looked like Lampe Berger (another MLM i think) stuff only fancier. (recognised it 'coz i got a friend pushing me to buy his products from LB, ended up totally ignoring him).
Then to the seminar. Got to write down your name, mobile number, on the list before you go in. The whole room smell of their product, some diffuser thingy (think Lampe Berger).
The MC was some Myanmar girl, who said how her family benefit from using the stuff, how she is now earning a 5-digit income after 1 year into the biz. Everytime the MC said something motivating, the 'associates' will clap, and they will play that stupid dragostea song. So much of psycho'ing IMO.
The main talker is some ex-insurance woman or something, and said how she quitted her job to do this Bel' Air, saying she's earning a 5 or 6 digit (yah, right) income now.
Thru-out the seminar, she flashed pics of sports cars, holiday locations, houses (with occasional applause from 'associates' + dragostea song). The emphasis on the products were a bare minimal, although she said that the products will sell due to increasing air pollution, that the smell can kill H5N1 virus, blah blah blah)
She ended the talk with numbers, stressing about starting at a count level(investing 14K!!!) and getting your commissions by finding future prospects to join. And to work your way up to Duke (Count -> Marquis -> Duke) and earning some global bonus using that position.
The whole thing smells so fishy to me. This seems to be more of a pyramid scheme, by encouraging active recruitment instead of product sales.
- If u are investing 14k, and earning (i think 3.7k) per recruitment, where does all the rest of the money go to??
- These people told me that family and friends will definitely object to me joining this biz, but that I must have self-belief in it. They told me to think of what the 14k can bring to me, to fulfill my dreams. All these sounds like brain-washing to me! They said they can help me to find the 14k, but I must be the one to take the first step. Said I am not going to be doing this alone, that they will help me as I go along.
- How can these people sleep at night? Asking their family and friends to invest so much, and may not be able to recover the investment?
- How long can this recruitment chain stretch?
- Bel' Air got some Gold Medal and sponsored NDP for some years, how did they do it?
When I asked my friend if he is really getting a 5-digit income in this, all he said was 'there is no point in me showing you my income statement, if you dun believe in this biz'. Up till now, he hasnt showed me his income yet.
Oh yea, I was introduced to two people that joined (around 2 years ago) and are now driving Alfa Romeo and RX-8 sports cars, and another duke (I think) getting an Integra (still in NUS). Are these really possible? I shiver thinking how many 'downlines' are under them now...
Athough I may sound biased to Bel' Air, I like to stress that I am not against or for this business. I think that there should be some awareness for people thinking of joining this company.
Maybe someone (working or used to work) in Bel' Air will like to share his/her opinion on it?
So did you manage to make back what you invested? or you regret wasting time and money in this MLM?Originally posted by Jader:Hi. I WAS from bel'air. I have to admit that I was brainwashed when I joined, not because of money, but I was a little tired of my job that time. I have to say it is very recruitment driven, although my upline and Co told me that I am actually looking for business partners, instead of just recruitment like what pyramid scheme does.
They also told me to get to know more people and see if they have potential, and if not just remain as friends. After that, I went to all sorts of gatherings, to get to know more "FRIENDS". Sadly, that's not the life I want. To me, knowing friends should be in a natural way, like knowing friends from schools, work, etc. instead of searching to get to know friends. Perhaps some people are ok with this way of making new friends, but I'm not. I got out of it after about a year. Recruited one of my friends, but felt very guilty about it. Both of us got out of it, and we are still good friends. That's how I feel about this experience.
Forgot to add that, they always tell me that I need a team to open a market somewhere, like overseas, that's why I need to find a few good business partners to work with. However, I never got an answer of their definition of open market.
I didnt manage to make back what I invested. I'm glad that I didn't. If I did, that would mean I get make back by getting more people in, which is not I wanted to do. I didnt regret to be honest. At least I get to know that I won't touch MLM again as that's not what I want to do. An expensive lesson though.Originally posted by Sabelli:So did you manage to make back what you invested? or you regret wasting time and money in this MLM?
Seriously, many people fell for these things, especially if the company recieves some 'gold medal' or is a main/ principal sponsor of our NDP.
hey i would like to add that i know ppl who are still in debts, owing money to banks and friends after borrowing money to invest in the 12-14k...Originally posted by Jader:I didnt manage to make back what I invested. Some people may like what they are doing in bel'air, but I strongly dislike it. So it's up to each individual.
Have to say they really make things look attractive, especially when you attend those talks in a smaller groups. A very good speaker and some pressure from here and there is all it takes. Have to be mentally strong to do say no. I failed to be strong last time.
That's very true. Blessing in disguise for me I guess. As I only invested 1K, instead of the Count status price which is too high a price for me even during that time.Originally posted by dokono:hey i would like to add that i know ppl who are still in debts, owing money to banks and friends after borrowing money to invest in the 12-14k...
Well, greed comes at a price haha.
pls note they will try all means and ways to convince u to borrow money. the question is whether u are strong enuff to withstand their psychoing.
what really disgusts me is that from their actions show that friends are only tools for their own success... that is their definition of ''friends''. of cos some people will be so overcome by greed that ''friends'' mean nothing to them. They know who they are.Originally posted by Jader:That's very true. Blessing in disguise for me I guess. This is so true. The same stuff they will say like If you want the market, you will find ways to get the money. Always the same stuff. Either that or things like "You are getting married, but no money, sure you will find ways to borrow the money".
I have asked one of the Marquis there before that to earn this much of money, a lot of people would lost their money. Her reply was that "Sometimes we have to keep on looking for business partners, but some are just not what we want". Then I thought, if that person is not what we want, why sign him up in the first place. Cos they have told us that look carefully and bring in those whom you really want to work with.
That's what I thought too. To me, their smiles, laughter and caring for friends seem so fake. Perhaps their definition of friends are different from ours.Originally posted by dokono:what really disgusts me is that from their actions show that friends are only tools for their own success... that is their definition of ''friends''. of cos some people will be so overcome by greed that ''friends'' mean nothing to them. Abt the ''getting married'' part, so what? what kind of stupid reasoning is that? They are just giving ambiguous excuses and as I have explained, psychoing u again.
I never agree with RK's definition of 'friend' too. He and MLM people are teaching the greedy people the right stuff indeed. Money, to them, are the most impt thing. To them, friendship is worthless, but they will think otherwise though. They always say that they want to help you to get rich.Originally posted by leddy:hahah they are using robert kiyosaki's definition of 'friend' - ppl you use to make money from. he and all these mlm ppl are teaching ppl the wrong stuff, getting ppl in debt, then they will tell u stuff like there are good debts and bad debts. many of these ppl are using their own name to borrow money. when they can't repay, they are the ones to suffer. the company will kick u one side and say that's ur own problem... then i will see the true colours
of cos they will say all that. if not how are they gonna get the money from ur pockets? it's the money eventually no matter it's 14k or 140k.Originally posted by Jader:I never agree with RK's definition of 'friend' too. Some of the people at Bel'air wants ur money and treat u nice. After getting to know u, they will use manipulative tactics such as organising house parties, chalets or some kind of events to get close to u or evaluate ur potential as a prospect. It's all an illusion to hoodwink u into believing their 'nice' personality. In other words there's a motive in mind. Some mind games at work here.Originally posted by k2wanviet:The new messages here harmonize with my opinions about Bel'air in my earlier posting. I feel vindicated . Hope more will share their experiences to create public awareness about the real happening inside Bel'Air.
Ya, its actually quite sad that some people fell for their psycho'ing. The Dukes there actually warned me about this forum haha.Originally posted by dokono:Some of the people at Bel'air wants ur money and treat u nice. After establishing some kind of rapport with u, they will invite u to their seminars. After which an attempt to close u will be conducted. And this includes trying to convince u to fork out at least more than 10k plus worth of stock investments. How? By borrowing from friends and relatives and banks and credit cards. That's where all the debts come in. Happens to a close friend of mine who is like most of us, struggling to make ends meet.
Yes they will argue by saying the market is huge etc. That's because they are defending themselves. The bottomline is: they just want more prospects and ur money. And it's the money that talks.

>> 5 or 6 digits...10,000 = 5 digits, 100,000 = 6 digits....Does she know what's she talking about? 5 digits "salary" ($10,000 ~$99,999) is the pay of at least a Manager/GM/Director/Above of a Established company...Not convincing enough, IMO...
Thru-out the seminar, she flashed pics of sports cars, holiday locations, houses (with occasional applause from 'associates' + dragostea song). >>> Why flash those pics of sport cars, houses??? Psycho-ing yongsters into "dreamland" and asking hard-earned money ($14K) from their parent ...
If that "smell" can kill H5N1, what are the scientists n researchers doing now? Why the death tolls of Birdflu is still rising? Might as well say, can cure AIDS and Cancers....
Also, instead of educating and promoting the benefits their products for health (since they mentioned abt curing H5N1), they're promoting the monetary gains by selling their products....what bullsh!t...IMO, they're promoting n trying to sell "dreams" to youngsters...
