Is asia works also a MLM company? My friend attended the courses and he was brain washed and now he work for them for free. He is now putting more of his time in it then his current job. He intro me to take up the course. I went for 2 days, I could make it on the 3rd day because I'm not feeling well. And I'm not allow to continue on the 4th day. Which means that I'm out of the course! During the course I saw some of them crying, shouting..really horrible.

They are not selling anything but the brain washing course they provide. After the brain washing, most of them decided to work for them for free. I think is worse than the mlm companies.

Get ready to present New Identity to group.

Making lists of who to invite for Tuesday nite.

notice that someone who has joined and believe in asiaworks, when you meet him, he will at least mention about Asiaworks once.
joining them for the graduation course - i say its all part of a trick.
i think its generally attracts ppl who likes to dream of short-cut ideas of becoming instantly rich. think sales ppl and MLMers.
from what i read in all those forums and sites, ppl get divorced, deviate their time from their businesses and jobs to ENROL more ppl for asiaworks.
imagine you focus much more on enrolling (not recruiting) ppl for asiaworks than your job or own business or family or friends.
Friends? they probably tend to stick more to their Asiawork friends than the usual friends.
the refund: you won't get the refund if you drop out of the course like one guy here. you have to complete the course, which by then, you would have been mind controlled by them.
and those hugs hugs hugs, seems to me very very fake and exaggerated.
ask an AW guy, he will tell you that they struggled thru the course and thus create such a strong bond between them. its probably like you fought and suffered and survive a war with this group of ppl and so a very closely knitted bond exists among themselves.
this is much worst than MLM. you may inadvertently break up ppl's families without knowing it at all.
i look forward to more discussions and posts and updates on this AW thing.
awareness is the key to understanding and avoiding scams such as this.
i think straits times should do a feature on this AW.

anybody knows what are the requirement to PASS the leadership course?
do you have to bring in XXX number of ppl to enrol in the basic course b4 they allow u to graduate? -
I've attended the basic for 2 days, it starts from 6 to 12 midnight for the first 3 nights, 10am to 11pm on sat and 10am to 6pm on sun. I feel sick because of the long hour and I couldn't have time to take my dinner. Really stupid !!! Every night after the course got to take a cab home.
I was told from that friend who pulled me in for the basic course. For the advance training, if I'm not wrong, you got to attend the course from morning till midnight for 4 to 5 days. You got to take leave from your work and go there to suffer.
I also heard that for the leadership course, it last for a few months, but u only need to go there once a week. You will team up with a few guys to do a project. During the last session of the course before graduate. They will bring you to somewhere which they wouldn't want to tell you until the day itself and to stay for 2 to 3 days.
That's what I know from them because my friend also don't know what is going on and also they 've got to promise not to tell anybody. -

yup, same stuff i heard about the leadership course too.
even the basic course, he refused to tell me too much, its like trying to stimulate your curiosity. "you want to know more? sign up and join me"
but i managed to get a full descriprtion of the basic course in the net.
have you tried to get back your refund?
just to confirm is your friend also a believer in MLM and doing sales as his full time job? -
I keep asking for refund, but they told me you have not complete the course. They asked me to go for another basic again. If I really learn nothing, then they will refund. I think is bull shit. They are very good in twist and turning their words until you got nothing to say. I'm in the loosing end. So just forget about the 1K. My friend is doing sales but not MLM. He ever invest some money in mlm but not sucessful for the business.

again as i expected, they WANT you to COMPLETE the course.
the part you dropped out is the part when you are most tired, exhausted, hungry, cold and completely drained. that is your most vulnerable part.
that is the part where you either give in to them or you give up and get out.
had you given in to them, yes you would have completed the course successfully. whether you think you've learnt something or nothing after completion, that would determine if you want the refund OR you want to go to advance.
IMO, once you have completed the course, i would say you have been brain-washed 90%, so its only likely 10% that you would ask for a refund.
likewise, probably out of 100 enlistees who signed up, probably only 10% are likely to ask for a refund after completion. this is how they earn the money.
which level is your friend at now?
what did your friend suggest you do now?
1) he either persuade you to try again.
2) or he sees you as hopeless and gives up on you, and stick with his clique
of AW bonded friends. (yes, i mean hugs hugs hugs)
its not correct for me to say that you are naive or gullible, but i would say that you are unsuspectingly being led into this.
all in all, i am glad you have pulled out. its very unlikely that you can get back your $1000.
you have already made one mistake here!!!. don't make another.
guard against people who are close to you from this AW thing.
your other friends, your parents, siblings, relatives, GF, wife, children.
(there is a reason for them telling you to bring your family, relatives, frens for that graduation thing). its no ordinary university or poly graduation you know!!
sorry about the $1000. its hard earned money thrown down the drain.
note this: you and me would be watching our respective frens to see how far they go in this AW stuff. -

My friend has completed the leadership and I think now he is working as a volunteer there already. He got his own bunch of true friend over there already. -

I have a fren who joined AW. After that, I found her totally changed. We all feel that she has been brainwashed by then. I have no idea how she is now as we have not been in regular contacts after her involvement in AW.
