Let us know about the outcome. Through others' experience, your friend will have a very peaceful and good sleep on Monday nite. A sense of rejoice and freedom immediately after the process.
God bless.

I just came back from Bel'Air. The result was not good. We filled in a form and then there was a guy came to talk to us. He told us that the company need the signature of the upline. The refund will be like 30% within the next 2 weeks and the rest within 2 months. I told him that we don't want to communicate with the upline and we want to get the money back as soon as possible. He said that since my friend dealt with the upline, the company can't do anything before they collect back the commissions from the upline. I argued that the upline is actually an agent and according to Agency Act, the company which they represent is fully liable for money and I don't care about the upline. But still, he asked us to wait. I will have to check the agency law again.
By the way, we have returned all the goods. I told my friend to be keen if the upline approach and try to convince her. We have not known how much we could get back yet. Hopefully, it could be 90% or more...

Quick question. The group just called my friend and ask her to meet them tonight. My friend is kind of hoping that she could somehow convince them to give her the full refund. Is that possible? Could the upline people decide that? Could they refuse to sign the form?
About the accounting, the man this morning told me that the company accountants will do that, we can't choose the accountant...
Should we meet the upline people? Or just abandon them?

They are not in the position to give full or not full refund. They are just the distributor. The company decides. The upline cannot refuse to sign, it is not within the guidlines, not to worry. It could be that her upline is genuniely want to settle this, because this is now at company level. If the meetup is not for this matter don't have to go. And also, if she is going, PLEASE go with her.
most likely the uplines will ask you to meet them at their training area...Originally posted by warlockftw:It's true, go with her but re-arrange the meeting!
Cheers,
Yes I mean re-arrange the meeting somewhere else. So you can choose a place, but for the sake of god, dont go to training area.Originally posted by Twincat:most likely the uplines will ask you to meet them at their training area...
Don't Go !
State your place and time instead...They want to talk to you not the other way round...You must have the control.
Originally posted by i am a guest:My friend does not want to lose the 10% and she wants to return the promotional items as well. This morning, we went to CASE to seek for help. Unfortunately, they said that since my friend bougt the items not for personal use, they can't do anything. However, we could go to subordinate court and sue for the small claims tribunal. Anyway, the maximum we can claim is limited to $10000 which is about the same as the 90% return...
In the afternoon, my friend consulted her law teacher (she is studying in NUS). Her teacher said that it's very much likely that Bel'Air is illegal. And then he took her straight to Commonwealth to talk to them again. After a lot of arguing, they still didn't agree to return the full money. My friend's teacher said that we have 2 options now:
1. make a police report: risk is that the police will close the company's account to do investigation and we can't get the money back anytime soon. And also, the process is very time-consuming and costly since it will involve lawyers.
2. accept their 90% return: risk is that although they said the refund would be within 2 months but who knows? It might take a year...
the question is how long do they need to wait to get back the full 90% refund if not more?Originally posted by concerned_man:I see. Just wanting to understand about how much is the value of all the special items that your friend has and cannot return.
I have to agree that 10% of a count stock is not a small amount. Especially for ordinary people like me. But my experiences tell me that people who made the withdrawal were very statisfied about getting back the 90%. All that they wanted to do is to disengage and not to have any association with Bel'Air in the future. They ran as fast as they could .... far away from commonwealth.
Interesting.
cheers,
