MLM, average USD$ 2000. As u mentioned, 6 billion of sales from 3 million agent, same for bank account, there are SGD XXXXX amount of money in DBS bank, and there are YYY million of customers, so average savings for singaporeans is SGD ZZZZZ . And conclude, oh singapore are rich ppl. So, averaging doesnt work for certain things. Because u know, there are millionaire/ billionaire...but is not our money, how could we average it out
Same applies to MLM, some ppl are high profile people, selling in bulks, thousands , rich to rich ppl connection. These ppl buy for the sake of connection, but those who are not powerful enough, who cares about having " connection " with you.
Hope u get what i am trying to say. Maths can play tricks, and ppl do know how to use it to con ppl.
Of course A CEO can sell or recruit more than an office boy...
So the MLM company must sell the daily products too, like RICE, KETCHUP, ETC.
So Everyone can do that... -
MLM can make alot of money.. but must depending which company.
amway definitely out of the picture. seen so many amway distributors who work over 5 years but getting miserable income.
wondering if they will still pursue their 'financial freedom' after 30 years? -

the amway business is modelled in a special way such that you can decide for yourself how much effort you want to put into the business and how long you want to take.
So for some who wants to do it slow, it may take even more than 5 years etc. However, when the income comes in, the base built is much more stronger and stable than most companies, esp those whose money come very fast, but then also go off very fast.
We believe in letting people dictate their own pace and not to push them or anything. And only hard work comes rewards, and this is known to all our distributors. It is modelled in such a way such that it promises a recurring stable income in the future and the legacy can be passed down to your children etc also. It is the largest company right now, thus the stability is assured

High payout doesn't guarantee stability, and for me personally, when I lookat the Amway business, it's not how much they pay etc. In fact around 70% of the profits made through each product goes back to the distributors. Just that the products are not costly, that's why it seems that we do not get a lot of money..but we then pay less for the products also.
It may take a few years to have a stable business in Amway, but that requires hard work, belief and patience. And the word to stress here is stability, which is much more important than earning a lot but not lasting and stable.
A successful amway distributor is someone who possess the true human value of helping, sharing and belief in oneself and others. Also to have goals and dreams and hardworking to work towards it. And two more very important attributes is to be ethical and have integrity. Everything is all based on facts and no pushing etc.

Yes, definitely.
Firstly, you get exposed to positive people and meet new friends who truly help and support each other (provided you are in a good group and company). You will learn to be a happier and more positive person and be more motivated and to work towards your dreams / goals.
Also, you will develop ur inter-personal relationship more by learning to interact and also to share your true heart to the people around you including your friends.
And if it is a true good company, the cost is virtually low to none as refunds will be allowed. But the above experience and knowledge will be there for your whole life.
Just think bout it and analyse

Well, in this business, it depends on yourself and how you wish to run your own business. For some people who wish to use the door-to-door salesman method, its up to them. For those who hate selling, they can use sharing to share the product and how they feel about the products esp those that they have used etc.
For me particularly, I hate selling and can't stand being a salesman. Thus, I just share about what I feel bout the product thats all. Just like how u share about a great movie you watch. Ultimately my aim has been completed, just to share, unlike a salesman whereby at the end of what he said, he wants a transaction between his customer and him.
As bout the motivation for money, different people have different motivations. It's again all up to the individual. It's similar to having a job, some pple also work to get money, so there's actually no difference, we all have motivations in watever we all do. Ultimately, the business is for you to help achieve something that you need in life, ur dreams, goals etc. For me personally, I wish to take care of my parents. They are now 50++ and still working. After having brought me up all these years, I hope to give them a comfortable life, and my current day job alone cannot do that. It is my responsibility to take care of them, and this business can provide me with the opportunity to do so. This is my motivation etc. Thus u see, it differs from people. It all depends on whether he actually sits down and think bout his life etc

There is actually a difference between sharing a movie and sharing a MLM products. If you watch a lousy movie, I am pretty sure you will tell your friends that the movie sucks, period. Will you do the same with your own MLM products? I believe human are always bias therefore, I cant agree with you that you can sell by just sharing of product knowledge, more over those information that you are sharing are the exact information that the MLM companies want you to share. I personally feel that most MLM products cant be scientificially proven to work like what they try to promised. and I do believe that most people buy MLM to sell instead of buying them to use. How often to you get repeated buyer who are user themselve for the product alone? -
Yup, I agree with you, that is why even for our company, any products that we personally either feel too ex or not comfortable, we DO not share at all. We only share those that we know it is really good for them, and worth it.
And yes, there are many products out there that does not work well. That is why it is very important to choose a company that has its own R&D, manufactures its own products, and provides the best quality at the very best. And my company does just that, and this thus gives me the confidence to be able to share the goodness of the company, without having any doubts. I have to do my own research and analysis and present what I personally think of the products, not what they want me to say etc.
I personally use some of the products daily, and I just treat them as any normal items that I will use. It is the same for everybody, if someone wants the something, I just sell them lor, then follow-up with them to provide service on the products, whether how they find it etc. It is all part of making our customers feel at home too. If they find it good, they will continue to use the products again. And we have one of the widest range of products in the market.

Now there is an opportunity for you to have some monetary gains, what will this group of people do? Try as hard as possible to con people in buying products which they themselves do not like it.
Have you ever eat some food and encounter lousy services. What do you tell yourself. Never go back to the stall/shop and tell the whole world how lousy the food/service.
So ultimately, that will depends on the ethics, trustworthiness of the person who introduce the product to you. If the main objective is to just earn money from you then they will lose a customer forever.
If the MLM companies products sucks, how long do you think the can survive in this market. 1-2yrs or 10yrs-20yrs.
If I company can survive for over 40yrs and their pioneer product is still selling in the market so what do you think?
I do not know how other MLM works, in our centre the very first thing which we learn is to use the product first, only when you are satisfied with it then you go ahead and share it with your family and friends. -
This I truly agree, that the most impt thing is to share what you genuine feel and think. Nobody likes cheaters and conners, ultimately, these people will not last.
But if one really does the business in an ethical way, he deserves the rewards he is getting for going out to help pple.

Hi,
Firstly, you have to define the meaning of being expensive. Before one can say a product is truly expensive, has one actually went out to try the products, experience and use it?
I feel that if none of the above is done, one cannot have the right to say a certain range of products is expensive etc. It is only fair to everybody, from the manufacturer to even the distributors and the customers etc.

Why do people buy BMW, Mercedes even though they can buy Toyota, Honda or even Kelisa or Kia.
The must be some value in the product which they like.
For Amway's product I can't say it's the best in the market but one of the best. But if you compare quality with other branded items then I can proudly say yes they are on par or even better.
I dare to even say their health supplement NUTRILITE is the only global vitamin and mineral brand to grow, harvest and process plants on their own certified organic farms (base on international market research firm Euromonitor Consultancy).
