Mac expands via the franchise system.
Anyway, the fastfood industry in its infancy suffered a problem that parallels the MLM model. Then, the most in the industry didn't have control of their franchisees and in the end resulting in chaos. Coy franchise their brand name in A to gain income from him and A sub-franchise it to B and B to C and so on. There was totally no order, and those brand names suffered because of lack of control and discipline on their franchisees.
That's the whole problem with almost all MLM company. They don't really care how their people sell/recruit. They don't give a shit to complaints from the public about the poor attitude of their salesmen or whatsoever. The industry being indiscplined gets a bad image. A bad image is bad for business. -
