It's also ironic that while RDPD and others was written with financial prudence in mind and the theme 'the rich don't work for money', the very same books contradict themselves preaching 'working towards the materialistic wants you want to achieve' and and very much tells you it's cool to boast around your material possesions and other extravagance.
Read books on the lives and success of Sam Walton, Warren Buffett, Micheal Dell, Ray Kroc(the man who made McDonald's famous) and even George Soros and you'll see how frugal these people are as compared to Kiyosaki. Kiyosaki is just a mouse compared to these pple. -

Multi Level Marketing Is also know as Network Marketing. Ask Industry expert and they can tell you.
Binary This is the plan they use - compensation. Like, Unilevel, Break Away etc

I'm not from NTI, but I feel, if you guys think and believe NTI is a scam, please, make a report with CASE, then follow to Copmmercial Affair. I got quite large number of mails in mailbox, asking me for help in getting refunds. Some are quite successful, some are not.
They are already directed to other networkers and even one lawyer for help liao.
The original thread, which contains so much evidence of nti misdoings, remain unchallenged, and for the nth time, you can always challenge me on your so called moral grounds, calling it backstabbing etc etc, go ahead, i am numbed to these.
Try convincing these masses of people that have already been cheated instead.
By the way, police reports have been made, from what I know. I guess you are just teens and place too much faith in the legal system. The rule of thumb is, even if the matter is true, the police wont take action until things blown up.

Anyway just to add if singapore police is really so unsafe y not immigrate to a safer country? if even we, singapore don't trust our own legal system who are we to trust then? Don't tell me u call yr grandma if yr house being commited of burglary?
Of cos they have to collect evidence first only then can they start their operation. Police is a disciplined forces under a giant pramid structure with proper procedure to follow.
Since u 82.. u must either be in NS or ORD liao. u should know better. -

You think police is god ar? Help solve every problem in hand ar? Of course things like rape and burglary gets priority lar. But then u look at it, they of course don't catch everything simply cos it's against the law.
You'll probably easily get away with:
1. Not fastening your seatbelts as a rear passenger
2. Cycling on pedastrian paths.
3. Eating on the MRT
4. Downloading movies from internet via P2P
5. Burning illegal copies and selling to friends.
6. Smuggling a few packets of cigarettes from M'sia
7. Bringing chewing gum into the country
And if you think certain things are legal just because the police haven't take action, then pirated cd sellers wouldn't be flourishing for quite a good number of years...until the USA kao peh kao bu... -

I think the difference between pyramid selling and network marketing/MLM is,
For pyramid selling
1. Before becoming a distributor, you are supposed to invest certain amount of money.
2. You are not allowed to return any goods to the company once you buy th product.
3. For all your hardwork, the bonus your upline who take certain amount of commission from you i.e. you earn $10, the top person take maybe $4, your manager take $3, your upline take $2, you take $1.
For a good MLM company
1. You pay a membership fee, within a year if you decide not to continue you are allowed to terminated the membership and get back the joining fee.
2. The product you sold have a money back gurantee i.e. You get the product from the company at $10, you sell at a profit of $12, after using the product for 20%, customer not satisfied, retrun you the product, you return the customer $12, you go to the company return the product and get back your $10, by doing so you and your customer do not lose anything.
3. A good MLM will reward whoever put in the most hardwork by giving a bonus which you earn when you sell your product, eash product will have a certain point value(PV). At the end of the month, if you got 500PV which may earn you $20, your upline got 0PV, a good MLM company should reward only you and not your upline since you are the one putting all the hardwork .
Anyway, pyramid selling is illegal in Singpore, if anybody is unhappy wit ha certain MLM company which exist here then I think this person should report to the police instead of trying to the tarnish the integrity of the company. -
I think by comparing Amway and Walmart is not very appropriate. You cannot compare a BMW to a Proton or Apple to an Orange. You should be comparing Departmental Store with Departmental store, MLM with MLM.
If you compare Amway (MLM) with Walmart (Dept Store) then I think Walmart should be very worried as you can see from the the sales profit. Amway without a physical store can have that kind of sales profit, don't you think it's a bit scary.
How about how many products do Walmart sells and how many products do Amway sells.
How much money do Walmart need to spend on rental, overheads, etc. How much money does Amway need to spend on their rental, overheads, ads, etc.
I think you have to think about it before making any comparison. -

Why isn't it appropriate to compare Wal-Mart with Amway? I think you grossly underestimated the scale and the range of products that Wal-Mart is selling. Wal-Mart, in fact, sells everything from groceries to household products, from electronics to CDs/DVDs, from books to toys, and from jewellery to pharmaceuticals in their hypermarts! In fact, the things Amway sells are parallel to what Wal-Mart sells. As long as they sell similar products, how could it be an unfair comparison? It's not as if we are comparing McDonalds to Charles and Keith. Wal-Mart was founded in 1962 while Amway was founded 1959, so Amway actually had a headstart.
So how are they doing now?
Wal-Mart raked in US$256 billion of sales in the year 2004(2 times the size of Singapore's GDP), and have actually been growing at a rate of more than 10% a year for the past 10 years and beyond. In the same year, they also made a pre-tax profit of US$15 billion in the same year.
Amway, on the other hand, only raked in US$6.2 billion of 'estimated retail sales'(A term used by them since 1963), in the year 2004. 'Estimated retail sales'? They couldn't even know for sure themselves how much worth of products they themselves have sold!? Furthermore, they have been languishing at this level for the past 10 years!
For every dollar worth of products that bought from Wal-Mart, 77.4c of it goes to the cost price, and that means Wal-Mart keeps only 22.6c of it. After paying the controversially low wages to their employees, rentals and everything, the actually earned 5.8c for every dollar of products they sold, after taxes, the figure would further reduce to just 4c.
So how does Wal-Mart earn so much, when they keep so little of what they receive? The answer is simply 'volume'. They buy their products in bulk, in order to get them at a lower price than other competitors, so that they can pass the benefits to the consumer. And with such low prices, and good service, people couldn't compete with them. Just think of Kmart, which got beaten badly, and declared bankrupt. If you've read the papers and TIME/Newsweel(not tabloids ie new paper), even bookstores and toy specialists such as toys 'r us are also struggling to keep up with them now.
How could Amway compete with them, when commissions to agents actually marked up the price much higher? If Amway agents were to compete with Wal-Mart, they probably would have to undercut their commissions such that they don't earn enough to feed themselves. Firstly, Amway, as long as they are selling other people's product, can't get their goods at the same competitive price as Wal-Mart does, because they don't have as much of a bargain power as Wal-Mart. Secondly, as long as total commissions to the so many layers of agents is more than 16.8%(a high likelihod in MLM; 22.6 - 5.8 = 16.8 ) of the selling price, they will also fail to compete with Wal-Mart in terms of staff and operating costs.
Wal-Mart worried of Amway? It's not an apple to orange comparison. More like an elephant to mouse comparison. 
Of course, there probably will plausible scenarios that MLM may work. But companies should decide their sales model accordingly to the products they are selling, and the industry they are in, to best serve the consumer. Many MLM start-ups, at least in SG, are either scams or just MLMing for the sake of MLM. -

www.google.com(seach 'amway estimated retail sales', since I remembered seeing that on the Amway website before)
A little general knowledge from regular reading of papers and magazines.
And oh, i forget to add on something. Amway used to be listed in New York Stock Exchange, and in Japan, but have been delisted in 2000. That's why you cannot find Amway on the stock exchange now. In fact, sales in Japan had been declining quite rapidly.
I've been reading up quite a bit on Wal-Mart ever since I got to read about Warren Buffett 3 years ago, because it's such a great company! -
Since Walmart is such a profitable company, why don't you join them or ask them employ you so that you can also earn some money.
Many MLM start-ups, at least in SG, are either scams or just MLMing for the sake of MLM.
Amway has a distribution channels in more than 80 countries, by interpreting what you say, all 80 over countries government are stupid including Singapore by letting Amway having their distributing channel there and not begging Walmart to go into their country so that Walmart can help to increase all these countries economy. I think what he's trying to say here is that personal retailing aka direct selling aka mlm is not necessary superior like what mlm companies advocate when compared to normal retail. Even though mlm is supposed to benefit the individual who have no captial to set up businesses like wal-mart's, most mlmers are worse off than b4 they entered mlm companies. I dare say this becoz from looking at my brother's friends, my friends and my close friends' friends. none of them have yet drove the bmw and drawing 5k salaries that mlm companies promise them. Many have quit, 1 or 2 did get a new car but couple of months later sold it coz unable to pay installments. OK, given that they are F up and cannot make it big in life, this fact also shows that most ppl will not succeed in mlm. they are better off, working in a job that pays stable and constant salaries.
