you remind me of a documentary which shows a chick being minced into paste, and they were alive leh, cried when i saw this documentary. they were sort of sliding down a slide and "zzzeeennn", out come the paste.......*vomit*Originally posted by MooKu:hey sometimes i do want to become a vegetarian.. cos you know, when you see those pigs and cows being slaughtered, they struggle and squeal so much it breaks your heart.
i watched this taiwanese variety show about food, and in taiwan, they actually ask customers to catch their own chickens [in the restaurant's farm] and then the chicken would be brought to the kitchen. and the next thing that happens would be the chicken ending up on the dining table. that's so... inhumane.
and in order to rear animals for food, some animals are reared under such terrible and inhumane conditions, like overcrowding or feeding them with chemicals that kill them.
one more thing: in many parts of the world, people eat duck eggs with the foetuses inside i.e. the duckling has not yet fully developed and it's boiled and eaten!
sometimes i really can't bear to eat the meat on the table when i see it...

true lah, that's one of the reasons why i continue to eat meat too. it's only natural for humans to eat meat... cos that's the food cycle.Originally posted by Parka:That's the problem with education.
Imagine you're a lion hunting down a zebra......
But okay lar, I agree with you that the methods they used are questionable...
