All remaining SBST VO3X and MK4 DM3500 will deregister by this Christmas. And seems that SLBP will be the first SBST depot to operate with full fleet WAB buses by then.
Tridents up till mid next year unless SBST decide to retire them early (which I hope so due to the poor condition).

1) Yes, to achieve 100% WAB by 24 December 2017.
5 buses (1 B10BLE, 1 B9TL CDGE, 1 B10TL, 1 K230UB and 1 MAN NL323F) were scrapped.
Tridents are likely to retire due to the poor condition, having them put into spare. They are allowed to retire in 2019 or 2020.
B10TLs same too, they will be scrapped in 2023.

I think tridents will go early.. they are absolutely beat and SBST hated them to the core even when they were still new.. SBST prob wants to scrap them the first moment they got..
Even in HK, CTB scrapped their DM tridents before their VOs.. And NWFB slaughtered all their DM tridents even though some of the older ALX varient are still running..

I still remember the Dennis Dart fleets that SBS bought in 1994 followed by the Lances that Tibs bought in 1998/2000... All gets early layup and scrapped way before reaching their 17 years lifespan.
Tridents should be the same too, I even notice that 64 and 89 removed all their Tridents out already and replace with newer Wrights. The Tridents seems to be running around HGDEP services as unwanted spares now.
I hope that 163 gets a perm Wright to replace SBS9669M.

U missed out TIB1110S and TIB1074M...
The early cummins engines is prone to overheating. But since 2013,Cummins has done a lot of improvement to the engines that even suits for tropical climate..But still got rooms for improvements. As for me Mercedes Benz,Volvo,Scania already proven that they're reliable workhorse..Now it's MAN turn but again its quite expensive to repair due to the complexity of the engine build up..(Twin stage turbo/Exhaust particulate filter etc).

Can the last VSO last till 2023? Seems likely. The bus interface is new. After 2021, the bus floor will start breaking.
Originally posted by TIB 585L:by 2020 all bus must be WAB. So VSO can say gdbye this yr or next yr
they still need more buses.
So by 24 dec 2017, "every SBS bus is WAB" - that means the existing VO3X and DM3500 will scrap. Trident will be the next after VO3X is all de-registered.
so VSO can still remain, although the floor will disintegrate, together with B9TL CDGE and K230UB. VSO's physical lifespan is 2004, and scrap in 2023.

No need to wait for 2020,By next year non WAB yes even the CNG will RIP..
Euro6 MB Citaro C2,Volvo B8L will be on trial & Euro6 MAN A22 also got the 280hp/1250nm version NL283F which is ideal for LTA.
12.8m MAN DD most probably will be purchased.
How many NWAB bendies will be on the road after the current de-registration of NWAB bendies?

Until end year i think only less than 199

As much as I hate to say this, Dennis buses can't last..
But again, Dennis buses are made to overcome various terrains so if they dont make the bus more sturdy than the rest obv the bus will wear and tear faster..

Can,Only we can't find the right technique and technicians to properly maintained the engine/buses
