the horror stories are basically typical horror stories you would hear in singapore itself, just that spending baht is less painful than spending SGD.
overall i would still pick a thai girl over a local girl anytime. unless of course a local girl has 'thai' attributes that would make me notice her. otherwise my biased brain would shut off all local girls. not that it would be a great loss to the local female population.
and its not a great loss to me when most of the local guys think that pretty and sweet thai girls are transvestites.
if u do think about it, its benefits the singapore girls and me

For now, the topic itself 'How to keep a man' -Why men just find it so hard to commit? is infact something which bothers women alot.
We have to understand that it is a known fact to women - that withdrawal symptoms and commitment issues is more troublesome than sex issue.
Since bbb have asked that question, i reckon the fact that many female do not understand men, yet that hold certain perception which thought Men to be that way.

i for one won't be swayed by it because i see my colleagues happily married to ladies overseas (malaysians, thais, indonesians). i see less happier people who are married to local girls.
this isn't an argument and it is my personal perception.
you bringing up the story about the marriage gone bad just because someone saying that thai girls are loyal is like the argument about bikes vs cars.
it will never end.
i say just don't bother to bring up a bad example just because someone has good to say. -

1) Actually if any girl really loves you, regardless of their nationality, they will be sweet and caring to you. They may not be sweet and caring in the way you WANT them to be, but if you really love them, then your love should not be dependent on how nice they treat you.
2) I posted before that in many rural areas in Thailand, having a husband in a foreign land AND having a husband in Thailand is very accepted. There are even arrangements where the Thai husband moves out, when the foreign husband visits. Entire village know of the arrangement but accepts it.
3) Having said all this, I have nothing against Thai girls. I just find it dangerous to stereotype women by their nationality and culture.
In the end, if it is love that you are looking for, once you become narrow minded, its hard for cupid to aim. -

Rather, if you are comparing thai and singapore money grabbers, the only difference i can say will be, the ones there are usually more affordable by you. -

Like most forumites say here, they hate women who spend their money, but my ex love to spend money on me. in the beginning of the relationship, we had to race to the counter to get the bill. there was once, before i came out from the fitting room, he already paid! And he will be very sad if i dun let him pay actually. then i had to resort to only shop when he is not around!
Some forumites say "why dating muz go restaurants?"? but my ex loves fine dining. he will be very miserable if i bring him to a hawker with no air-con.

i haven't experienced money grabbers over there, so maybe i can't comment on those kind of girls over there.

in fact to me, i have actually widened my choices a whole lot more.
but like i said thats my prerogative or my personal choice.

i know of thai gals who came to singapore and asked my friends buy them LV wallets, handbags and luggage bags. Not to mention all food, accomodation and shopping sponsored by my friends. Well, im not complaining or wat, so long as the people who pay are happy, thats what matters

when i go out with them i don't go to restaurants, i'm brought to makan the local fare, which is like what... 30-50baht for a chicken wing? how ngaio is a guy if he feels that 30-50baht is considered spending money on a person.
when they go shopping they pay for their stuff, i offer and they reject. and the stuff they buy cost like 50-100 baht?
i have colleagues who have experienced girls like u mentioned. on my side i haven't. that is why i'm so much happier there. -
