Assuming u r a ger, ask u whether u celebrating urs or a friend(guys or gals).

throw a birthday party n invite all ur friends over either to ur hse or book a chalet. Used to go for a bdae party where every1 had to wear blue n wear a mask. Then ppl have to guess who is who or kanna forfeit. Rather fun n fresh as not many ppl plan such program. N as usually the birthday person got WET, really wet wif all sorts of stuffs.(eggs, flour, ketchup. u name it, u have it)

if bf, give urself as a present to him loh. wahaha, juz kidding.
U can give him a surprise party a day or so n invite all his buddy over.
normal guy friends. No idea why u bother to do so. But if good buddy, juz a casual dinner enough liao. present buy BIG BIG can liao

depend on wat she like. If she like going disco, then organise cheong cum bdae outing. if she the quiet type, then juz gather a crowd n throw a party for her loh.
my suggestion(crazy 1) ==> design a game n ask her to search for clues to get her bdae present
