Why is there calamity?
Is it because someone do bad things? Or the country is involved in bad things?
I overheard this comment:
The countries got hit, because they slaughter so many chickens because of the bird flu...serve them right.

It is a way nature going through their cycle.

It can be considered retribution to us becoz we never take care of our earth..And this is also a nature cycle, to keep things in place..

A normal earthquake, will have some sort of earlier symptons and the equipments should has pick it up long beforehand to give advance warning.
Someone is sleeping on their job? Or is some big shots somewhere is ignoring the fact and refuse to disclosed before hand? -

I saw on CNN, they asked someone from a geological forecast centre in Hawaii this same question
There is one dedicated forecast and warning station in Hawaii for the Pacific Ocean.
Why isn there is one in the Indian Ocean?
The expert explained earthquake and tsunamis such are so infrequent in the Indian Ocean like they did in the Pacific Ocean. We always associate tsunamis with Hawaii and Japan, its unthinkable of having one in the Indian Ocean. Another reason is the lack of resources. Basically all the countries around the Indian Ocean are third world countries..
But look at it from another perspective. A lot of things can happen. We can try as much as possible to guard against natural disasters, and other incidents. But anything can happen. I guess the other solution is to have contingency plans for any disasters, ie, having resources on standby to deal with any disaster, than standing around arguing whose fault is it not installing the early warning system, not doing this, not doing that... -

Like u say, most of the countries there are third world country..So maybe after this terrible event, developed countries will help set up warning systems...

Human have taken so many lives and rob Mother Nature of so many forest.
So, it is fair that some of suffering to be returned back.
Nothing to be pity about the human loss.
Any one ever pity about the mass killing of innocent and harmless chickens and pigs ?
It is not forgeting that the cause of their disease is from the feed that they eat, which, of course, human is the cause.
Their slaughtering is just to ensure the coward survival of a few human.
All human have performed evils and greedy deed over the existence of Mother Earth.
IT IS PAYBACK TIME !!! -
