Hi everyone,
This coming August, Youthopia together with Aux Entertainment, will be organising a series Local Chinese Mini Concert named, Xin Lang.
The main objective of this series of mini-concert is to promote local Chinese music and song writing. It aims to provide youths a place where they can listen to great local compositions and interact with their fellow peers in the local music/song writing scene.
Xin Lang is also a concert that is fully funded by Youthopia, a subsidiary of Singapore National Youth Council and Aux Entertainment and therefore itÂ’s FREE! Audiences do not have to pay to listen to great music and performers can get a chance to showcase their talent with professional audio equipment.
A professional sound engineer will also be engaged for every concert to help to bring out the best of the performers. We strongly believed that, with such an arrangement, the performers would be able to enjoy the experience of performing in front of a live audience.
The concert will be held on every second Saturday of each month beginning from August. The venue is at YouthPark (Diagonally opposite Orchard Cineleisure). Each concert will see 4-5 performers either as a solo or in a group. Sound check will be conducted in the afternoon, prior to the concert. Performers will be encouraged to use live music (either by playing the instrument themselves or with accompaniment), however minus-one music will be allowed as well. The organisers of the event are hoping to see more original compositions while a minimum number of covers will still be allowed.
So Dun Hesitate! Come down and join us!
