Nominations for the awards will be announced in a week's time. Who do you think are the hot favourites for the Best Male/Female Singer, Album and Song?
The nominees would be announced on the 28 March...
Well...sorry to certain fans...but I am pretty sure that F4 won't get nominated for best newcomer/best group...(it has alwiz been emphasised...tat they are not a group...so for them to get into it...isn't tat funny...besides...they CAN'T SING FOR NUTS...newcomer wise...nah!!!...Zaizai would also not be nominated for best newcomer or male singer...unless there is something something very wrong...no offence...but i tink i am stating facts...i dun tink Wewe would be in also)
I have some ideas for best newcomer...TENSION, YONG BANG, PEGGY XU ZHE PEI...i mean...there could be others out there...but i dun really favour SHE. Also a cannot sing group.
I think...there's usually this determining song...like karen mok...becoz of yin tian/shi er lou...was nominated...na ying...zheng fu etc...
Anyway for best album...i tink Yanzi, Jay Chou, Harlem Yu?
Male vocalist...Harlem Yu, Jay Chou, William So, Jacky Cheung?
Female vocalist...Ah Mei, Yanzi, Na Ying, Shunza, Yang Naiwen...
We'll see...
About the ladies....
I dun think Na Ying is likely to repeat her success this year, having won last year.
Shunza has also won previously (for Newcomer or Female Vocalist, can't remember) and her Dear Friend was not as good as her previous albums
Faye Wong has a good shot at the award but her last album is a bit too commercialized, so...
If album sales could sway the judges, Yanzi will win hands down but this Awards has a history of overlooking commercial success; besides she's way too young
A*Mei has gone home empty-handed in her last four outings and I can't help feeling that the judging panel is biased against her
Coco Lee, Elva Hsiao, Sandy Lam and Winnie Hsin also have an outside chance
As for the guys....
Jay's in the same boat as Yanzi - both "suffer" from youth and commercial acclaim, but there's always a first time for everything I guess
Both Harlem and William So are equally deserving but Harlem has enjoyed a higher profile of late.... his newborn son may also bring him some luck
Eason Chan has a fair chance too but not too sure if he's well-received in Taiwan
I'm personally rooting for A*Mei and Harlem.... give these well-deserved veterans their dues. But first their names must end up on that nominees list on 28 March ...
Well...we just have to wait for list of nominees to be out...
I like Elva...but personally...i dun tink she would be in...coco lee...maybe not...
