Wonder if any of you attended Jeff's concert on Monday?
I think it was a great affair, though his dancing brought tears (of laughter) to my eyes...
What I am glad was that he did not forget his older fans (like me!) by singing some of his old gems, eg. Rang Wo Wang Ji Ni De Lian, Nan Yi Kang Ju Ni Rong Yan, Gei Wo Yi Xie Ying Yue, etc.
I can't possibly ask much more for his singing technique, which was at its peak on that night. He was really at the most sparkling form for the whole 2 & a half hours (with Jiang MeiQi singing her 2 & a half songs in between; she gave a credible performance though she seemed nervous). Also, he actually did not forget his lyrics for almost all of the songs, unlike previously when he usually would confuse lyrics for certain parts of a song, eg. Tai Xiang Ai Ni, Ai Ru Chao Shui, etc.
If there is anything to pick on, perhaps the feelings part. He had improved so much on the vocal delivery, but this good point had also somehow diminished his emotions delivery of the songs. Gone is the shy expression of his voice during his rendition of Rang Wo Wang Ji Ni De Lian...well, one can't ask for too much, eh?
Seriously, if you are a Jeff fan, and you missed this concert, then I think you will seriously regret it
