Zilchster, what do u mean by "sold anything". Actually, I'm a pianist, so I have a base in music and song writing. But it's not for commercial purposes. It's juz for interest=) I like R&B, but not the type of R&B that David Tao or Jay CHou sings. It's that sort of R&B that soul singers sing. Er...I would say it's quite similar to what Utada Hikaru sings.
Zilchster
I mean have you sold any of your compositions?
eve*angel
Does anybody know whether will Guang Liang celebrate his b'day in Malaysia with fans?
where can u find things abt guang liang?and how did u get to see him in person?
eve*angel
For those who have bought his CD, you all should know he has his own website..for those who didn't buy his cd yet..do go buy..it's really nice..definitely worth the money..=) http://www.michael.gogorock.com

No. I have never published my compositions. I've started learning computer music. Currently, I'm learning from a song writer who does advertisement tunes.
Does anybody take lessons from the Lee Wei Song School of Music?
Zilchster
Oh okay...coz if u need anyone to write lyrics would gladly help u out
and need someone to help me with the tune...
eve*angel
Happy Birthday Guang Liang! Keep up the good work..and love ya always!

Zilchster, do u write the lyrics first or write the tune first? I have insisted on writing the tune first, but my teacher says it is better to write the lyrics first. But a good tune is always more important than the lyrics, so sometimes I do vice versa of what he says and I end up with a situation where I cannot find appropriate lyrics to fill in.
Zilchster
There is no right or wrong in which comes first tune or lyrics...
Most people would say it's harder to fit the tune into the lyrics...but sometimes it easier becoz the words there are pretty straightforward.
Most write the tune and then the lyrics...as for why u can't find the best lyrics to fill in...maybe u need someone who can understand the tune or understand u to fill in...or u need to open ur concept up to the person...as a lyricist (i dun compose), it's a bit harder with my creativity in filling in the tune with words.
People do write the tune and lyrics at the same time...this is harder to make any alterations to the lyrics.
So depends...i am willing to try anything like filling in words for u.
